A Workshop session was held on Oct. 17, 1983 at 7:00 P.M. in the American <br />Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett~ Tr. Greco, Tr. Cioppa, Tr. Costa~ Tr. Mazochi, <br />Tr. Carey~ Tr. Perrego and Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Also present: Atty. Harold Reilly and Eng. LaPa:. <br /> <br />En9. LaPar discussed the proposed Mesier Ave. repaving project and outlined <br />costs and square yardage of the various sections d the project. <br />He sum~axized approximate cost of the project would be $17,000. <br />Eng. LaPar reported that~ if the three sections of the project were awarded <br />to Clove, price would decrease between $1200. and $1500. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Costa, seconded by Tr, ¢ioppa that the Mesier Ave. repavin9 <br />project from Maple to ~lm St. be awarded to Clove Construction. Carried. <br /> <br />Eng. LaPar reported televising sewer lines in the lo~er High Mill Street <br />area has been scheduled fo: next Fall. <br /> <br />Discussion followed on drainage system for Bain Park and the various alternates <br />which could be utilized. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Mazochi, secor~ed by Tr. Cioppa that authorization be given <br />to let out bids for the first phase of the above ~entioned project. Carried. <br /> <br />Discussion followed on First Ward drainage problems and status of litigation <br />against Town of Poughkeepsie. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Pe:rego~ seconded by Tr. Carey that a letter be foxwaxded <br />McCabe & Mack advising that, if reports are not submitted on the status <br />of the suit, the Village would investigate the possibility of hiring <br />another ~.egal consultant. Carried. <br /> <br />Discu~slon £o11~ed on new construction in First Ward, Town of Poughkeepsie, <br />and [Iep~t¥ Clerk to investigate same. <br /> <br />Heeting scheduled with NYSDOT officials on the gte. 9 project on 11-1-83 <br />at 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Moti°n by Tr. Cioppa, seconded by Tr. Carey that the Village Atty. be <br />authorized to draft an amendment to the Over 65 Years off Age Exesmption <br />and schedule a Public Hearing on same. Carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Greco~ seconded by Tr. Perrego that Test Borings at the Fi:e- <br />houses be approved, at a cost of $1400/ Carried. <br /> <br />Discussion £oll~ved on replacing the bulbs on the ornamental lights on the <br />bridge and the costs involved. <br /> <br />Electric Light Comm. authorized to use their own discretion in replacement <br />of globes. <br /> <br />Meeting a~journed. 9:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> <br />
