The regular meeting of the Mayor and Village Board of <br />Trustees was held on wednesday, October 14, 1998 at 7:30 PM. <br />in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Belding, Tr. DiDomizio, Tr.,Juliano, Tr. <br />Lawrence, Tr. Hinzman~, Tr. Hemingway,T~ Goebel and Atty. <br />Viglotti. <br /> <br />ACTION ON PROPOSED LOCAL LAW: <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Juliano, seconded by Tr. Lawrence that Local <br />Law No. 6 of 1998 (A local law to reduce speed limit on <br />Village streets from 30 mph to 25 mph). <br /> <br />Roll call vote: Tr. Lawrence (aye), Tr Juliano (aye), Tr. <br />Goebel (aye), T~ DiDomizio (aye), Tr Hemingway (nay), <br />Tr. Hinzmann (~), Mayor Belding (nay). <br /> <br />Local Law enacted. <br /> <br />Ruth Rosenberg, Attorney for Bell Atlantic Mobile, addressed <br />meeting relative to a proposed lease for ~e installation of <br />a wireless communicati6n facility on the W%nliss Water tank. <br />She said for the past few years they have been aware that <br />there was a problem pertaining to overload, despite the <br />existence of 2 cell towers in Fishkill. Mrs. Rosenberg <br />reported they were interested in leasing space on Wenliss <br />Water tower about two years age but unable to reach an <br />agreement and were now looking at a site on the east side of <br />Route 9, and made application to the Village Planning Board <br />for site plan approval,~ She said they est~lished there need <br />for capacity and displayed photos showing~he various <br />equipment used. Mrs. ROssenberg said after their <br />presentation, Planning Board didn't like the site and <br />suggested they apply for the water tower, water Chairman <br />Travis present at meeting and seemed interested in pursuing <br />the project. Planning Board advised Mrs. Rosenberg they would <br />make recommendations to the Village Board that they consider <br />the water tower as an appropriate site to enter a lease with <br />Bell Atlantic Mobile. <br /> <br />Mrs. Rosenberg displayed photos which showed system on <br />another water tower stating they would meet all set backs in <br />compliance with Zoning and Company was a public utility <br />operating under the Telecommunications Act and they have <br />showed a need for this expansion. She displayed pictures <br />showing various locations at the Wenless site stating system <br />would be surrounded by chain linked fence and they would <br />repair present fence surrounding the tank property or replace <br />same if needed. She said site was secured by an alarm system <br />which is monitored 24 hrs. per day. She also discussed <br />location of the antenna on the tank and explained equipment <br />which would be used in the operation and said facility is <br />unmanned and no lights or utilities would be involved. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
