<br />MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD JUNE 1, 2017 <br /> <br />Present: Bonnie Kieffer, Vice Chair, Don McCormick, George Moran, Trent Atkinson, <br />Bob Relyea and Mary Ann Loncto, Secretary <br /> <br />Absent: Tom Morris <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Trustee Komornik Cathy Mazochi <br /> John Kihlmire Ana Mendoza <br /> Bryan Murphy Jessica McCuen <br /> Nathan Kerxhali Mimi Kerxhali <br /> Olga Lopez <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. Motion by Mr. McCormick seconded by Mr. Moran to <br />accept the minutes from the May 2017 meeting. On roll call vote – Ms. Kieffer – Aye, Mr. <br />McCormick – Aye, Mr. Atkinson – Aye, Mr. Moran – Aye, Mr. Relyea – Abstain and Mr. <br />Morris Absent. <br /> <br />ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, 2670 W. MAIN STREET <br />First on the agenda was the proposal from Absolutely Beautiful, 2670 W. Main Street with a <br />proposal for a projecting sign at the above address. Ms. Ana Mendoza owner of the business <br />was present. It was stated that there is a consent form on file from the owner of the building. <br />Mr. Murphy confirmed that the sign conformed to code and that the sign can be no closer than 10 <br />ft. to the sidewalk. Mr. McCormick made a motion to approve the sign as presented, seconded <br />by Mr. Relyea. Unanimously carried. Applicant was informed that she must pay her permit fee <br />before sign is installed. <br /> <br />VINYL RECORD SHOP SERVING CRAFT BEER AND WINE, 2656 E. MAIN ST. <br />Next on the agenda was a public hearing on the request of John Kihlmire, 6 Tompkins Avenue, <br />Beacon, NY seeking a Special Use Permit to be able to use 2656 E. Main Street for a vinyl <br />record shop which will serve local craft beer and wine. Property is located in a Village <br />Commercial zone. Mr. John Kihlmire owner of the business was present. It was stated that there <br />is a consent form on file from the owner of the property. At this point Mr. Atkinson made a <br />motion to open the public hearing, seconded by Mr. McCormick. Unanimously carried. Ms. <br />Kieffer asked if there were any comments from the public. There were no comments from the <br />public. It was stated that this would not be a brewery. He would be getting his product from <br />local businesses. It was further stated that Dutchess County Department of Planning had <br />responded to the zoning referral with a “Matter of local concern” comment. Mr. Atkinson made <br />a motion declaring the proposal an Unlisted Action under SEQRA, seconded by Mr. Relyea. <br />Unanimously carried. Mr. McCormick made a motion to close the public hearing, seconded by <br />Mr. Moran. Unanimously carried. Mr. McCormick made a motion to approve the proposal as <br />presented, seconded by Mr. Atkinson. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />The sign was then discussed. The Board stated they were all in favor of Option B on the <br />proposal. Mr. Murphy confirmed that the sign conformed to the Zoning Ordinance. Applicant <br /> <br />
