Minutes following the 06/14/2017 Village Board Meeting <br /> "PLEASE TURNOFF CELL PHONES AND PAGERS PRIOR TO START OF HEARING <br /> /MEETING. <br /> THANK-YOU". <br /> Welcome to the Village of Wappingers Falls monthly regular meeting of the Mayor <br /> and Board of Trustees today Wednesday, June 14, 2017, 7PM. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG: <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> LOCAL LAW NO. 4 FOR THE YEAR 2017 <br /> A Local Law entitled No. 4 for the year 2017 amending certain traffic regulations along <br /> North Mesier Avenue in the Village of Wappingers Falls. <br /> BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Wappingers Falls that <br /> certain traffic regulations along North Mesier Avenue in said Village require amendment. <br /> SECTION 1: LEGISLATIVE INTENT <br /> It has come to the attention of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Wappingers Falls <br /> that right hand exits from the Best Tile Plaza service road onto North Mesier Avenue <br /> have created an unsafe and untenable traffic pattern that requires regulation. <br /> SECTION 2: TEXT <br /> Section 143-44 of the code of the Village of Wappingers Falls is amended as follows: <br /> NAME OF STREET PROHIBITED TURN HOURS DIRECTION OF TRAVEL <br /> Best Tile Plaza At All Times Right Turn <br /> All other portions of Section 143-44 shall remain the same and not be affected by this <br /> local law. <br /> SECTION 3: SEVERABILITY <br /> If any provision of this chapter or application thereof to any person or circumstances is <br /> adjudged invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, such judgment shall not effect or <br /> impair the validity of the other provisions of the chapter or the applications thereof to <br /> other person's circumstances. <br /> SECTION 4: EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> This local law shall become effective upon the filing in the office of the Secretary of <br /> State. <br /> Mayoy Alexander opened the public hearing and turned it over to Village Attorney <br /> Viglotti.
