Continuation of a Public Hearing on a proposed local law which would amend parking regulations on Givans Ave. and a portion of West Main Street was held on Wednesday, March 10, 1999 at 7:15 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. Atty, Viglotti said proposed law would amend Local Law #3 of 1998 regarding parking regulations on Givens Ave. as follows: On the east side of Givans Ave. - parking is allowed from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. On the west side of Givans Ave. - parking is allowed from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Also, Section 153-56 of the Code shall be amended such that all time limits referencing 10 minutes shall be amended to 15 minutes parking and this would also pertain to the 30'section in front of Plaza Pharmacy on west Main Street. No one present voiced an opinion pro or con on said local law. Correspondence: Trustee Hinzmann read letter from Mr. Anthony Campilii, president of the Grinnell Library Board, expressing their thanks to the Village for our support in obtaining the $23,000. Community Development grant to complete handicapped renovation projects at the Library and their desire to meet with the Library Committee to discuss their plans for this year and next, and their 1999 budgetary requests. she encouraged people to continue to give donations to the Library as they have many great programs available such as assisting senior citizens with tax returns and implementing a new story hour for parents with small children. Invitation received from Commanders of the American Legion and VFW for Village officials and residents to participate in the Memorial Day services and parade to be held on May 31, 1999, commencing at 9:00 AM. Tr. Juliano said he travelled to S. Daytona on 3-1-99 and wanted to make the Board aware of a Citizens Alert Neighborhood Watch program which he was introduced to and read excerpts of a newsletter which outlined the various aspects of the program.
