Minutes following the 9/27/2017 Village Board Meeting <br /> "PLEASE TURNOFF CELL PHONES AND PAGERS PRIOR TO START OF HEARING <br /> /MEETING. <br /> THANK-YOU". <br /> Welcome to the Village of Wappingers Falls second monthly regular meeting of the <br /> Mayor and Board of Trustees today Wednesday, September 27, 2017, 51M. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG: <br /> ROLL CALL BY THE CLERK OF THE VILLAGE: Mayor Alexander, Aye. Trustee Chase, <br /> Aye. Trustee Enson, Aye. Trustee Davis, Aye. Trustee Komornik, Aye. Trustee Whitten, <br /> Arrived 5:10. Trustee Huber, Aye. <br /> REGULAR SESSION: <br /> Privilege of the Floor with respect to printed agenda items followed by Privilege of the <br /> Floor with respect to non-agenda items. <br /> Ms. Ninnis wishes to address the board with respect to tax penalties. <br /> No action taken. <br /> Ballot proposal. Clerk <br /> The ballot question is as follows: <br /> "Shall the Village of Wappingers Falls abolish its Police Department and enter into a <br /> shared services agreement with Dutchess County which will provide for the exclusive <br /> assignment of 8 full time Deputy Sheriffs to serve and protect the Village of Wappingers <br /> Falls, the creation of a Sheriff's substation in the Village of Wappingers Falls and <br /> provide all additional services as are available through the various bureaus, divisions and <br /> squads maintained by the Dutchess County Sheriff's Department, at an annual savings to <br /> Village taxpayers of more than $500,000.00 and as proposed by the Village of <br /> Wappingers Falls in Local Law# 7 for the year 2017." <br /> Motion by Trustee Huber to approve the ballot question as presented. Seconded by <br /> Trustee Davis. Carried. <br /> "Catch and Release" Scott Williams <br /> Motion by Trustee Huber to take the sign down. Seconded by Trustee Enson. Roll Call <br /> Vote: Tr. Enson, aye, Tr. Chase, aye, Tr. Huber, aye, Tr. Komornik, nay, Tr. Davis, nay, <br /> Tr. Whitten, nay. Tie vote did not carry. <br /> Discussion parking on Market St. <br /> Page 1 of 5 <br />
