The regular meeting of the Mayor and Village Board of <br />Trustees was held on Wednesday, November 8, 2000 in the VFW <br />Hall on School Street. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: <br /> <br />Pz-esent: Mayor Belding, Tr. Juliano, Tr. Cerino, Tr. <br />Lawrence, Tr. Marshall, Tr. Davis, Atty. Viglotti. <br /> <br />Absent: Tr. Bain, due to illness. <br /> <br />Mayor Belding thanked the VFW for the use of their <br />facility, <br /> <br />ACTION ON MINUTES: <br /> <br />Minutes of the last regular Village Board meeting- 9-13-00, <br />minutes of Public Hearing and regular meeting held I0-I1-00. <br />Duplicated and previously presented to Board members. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Cerino, seconded by Tr. Marshall to accept <br />minutes as written. Carried. <br /> <br />Mr.. Charles Albemtson, representative of the Christmas in <br />April program, addressed meeting and said this was a non <br />profit organization in Dutchess County started in 1992 and <br />its main purpose is to rehabilitate homes of elderly, low <br />income citizens and persons with disabilities at no charge to <br />homeowners. He said monetary sponsorships come from major <br />corporations, banks, insurance companies and more through out <br />the County and, since its inception, they have been in the <br />Village 3 times as only 3 houses applied and were accepted. <br />Mr. Albertson said he was asking 'the Board and residents to <br />get the word out throughout the Village to the elderly, low <br />income and physically challenged that applications were <br />available at no cost and he urged Village to get involved. <br />He said they will be in the Village next April and their <br />service is free. <br /> <br />Mayor Belding thanked Mr. Albertson for his presentation <br />and for the services t'heir organization were rendering. <br /> <br />Mayor Belding said the Treasurer has submitted the Account of <br />Unpaid Taxes as of November 1, 2000. <br /> <br />Tr, Juliano said, as of October 31, 2000, the Treasurer has <br />collected a total of $1,778,322. in property taxes and <br />relevied water, sewer and garbage fees leaving approximately <br />$101,138.33 to be relevied. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Juliano, seconded by Tr. Cerino that the <br />following resolution be adopted: <br /> <br /> <br />
