Motion by Tr. Juliano, seconded by Tr. Davis that a special <br />meeting on the above issues be scheduled on Saturday, <br />November 18, at ~:00 P.M. Ca,-tied. <br /> <br />REPORT ON GIVANS AVENUE PARKING: <br /> <br />Tr. Lawrence reported between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM every <br />morning vehicles cannot get down that street as there were <br />only 3 parking spaces available. <br /> <br />Tr. Cerino said the law as it was written states "7:00 AM to <br />6:00 PM, No parking on the east side (3 parking spaces); <br />there was a 15 min. time frame in the little curb cut and at <br />6:00 P.M. there was no parking on the other side of the <br />street. He said this guarantees the fact that a fire truck <br />had access to the street. <br />Tr. Cerino said he understood there was some problem with the <br />wording of the law and it had been revised. <br /> <br />Discussion followed on parking problems on the above <br />mentioned street. <br /> <br />Supt. Marshall recommended No Parking on the west side of <br />street and the other side, 15 min. <br /> <br />Atty. Viglotti said the three parking spaces were needed as <br />drop off for the Day Care center. <br /> <br />Mayor Belding referred the Givans Ave. parking situation to <br />the Legislative Committee for further review. <br /> <br />REPORT ON DRAINAGE - CLAPP AVENUE AND PROSPECT STREET <br /> <br />Tr. Lawrence said he has received many calls from residents <br />in this area concerning the water running down from the <br />Marshall property. <br />He said this has been a problem for years with water running <br />down Prospect Street to Clapp Ave. and Market Street and with <br />the upcoming winter season, could cause hazardous conditions. <br />Tr. Lawrence discussed problem, which has become worse since <br />Mr. Marshall did construction on his property, and displayed <br />photos showing course of stream. <br />He said we have a problem and the only way to resolve it is <br />to put in a drainage system. <br /> <br />Various property owners in the area discussed problems they <br />encountered as a result of the d~ainage. <br /> <br />Mayor Belding said Zoning Officer was to review problem under <br />NYS Building Code and the only way to resolve problem was to <br />engage an engineer to survey problem and make recommendations <br />as to solution. <br /> <br />Supt. Marshall said he will have an engineer survey above <br /> <br /> <br />
