/¥ <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the ~4ayor and Village Bpard of Trustees was held on Wednesday, <br />October 12, 1994 at 7:30 P.M. in the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Present: ~yor Hinzmann, Tr. DiDomizio, Tr. Ce~ino, Tr. Sb~%y,Tr. Traver, Tr. Goebel, <br />Tr. Hemingw and At~j. Viglotti. <br /> <br />?4ayor Hinzmann requested a mcment of silent pral~r be observed in m~uory of former <br />Village Trustee, Gil Napoleon, who recently t~%ssed away. <br /> <br />~linute s: <br />=Minutes of a Public Hearing regarding Rules and Regulations for the Wappingers Lake <br />held Oct. 12, 1994 had been duplicated and previously presented to Board mmmbers. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr ~ Shay, seconded by Tr. Cerino that the above minutes be acoepted as <br />written. Carried. <br /> <br />Minutes of the last .regular meeting of the Mayor and Village Board of Trustees <br />held Oct. 12, 1994 had been duplicated and previously presented to Board m~mbers. <br /> <br />Tr. Traver reported the following corrections: <br /> <br />Pg.2-MO~on to accept the bid frcm Precision General Contracting for a new roof at <br />the Village Hall should mead seconded by Tr. Goebel. <br /> <br /> Pg. 3. vbtion regarding Aching Justice Nolan's resignatif)n should be deleted as it <br /> is covered on pg. 4 under c~uL~nications. <br /> <br />pg. 6 - ..~otion regarding transfer of garbage billing process should read that same <br />was carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. DiDomizio, seconded by Tr. Traver that the above minutes be accepted <br />as corrected. Carried. <br /> <br />Request frcm Mr. David Costello to address n~eting re: rear gate at Brookside Garden <br />.Apa~ b~nts: <br /> <br />He stated he h~d been informed that a few month previous, upon the request of a <br />resident at the complex, the Village Board directed the gate be opened on a trial <br />basis. He stated an origiD~l agreement, made in 1963, .should be re-activated and the <br />gate be closed, except for ~uergency vehicles. <br /> <br />~r. Costello reported major problem involved vehicles exiting rear gate and not <br />s~opping, as Stop signs are located on R~usen Ave. He.also stated this was the only <br />entrance whereby pedestriaD~ can enter the c~¥~lex and there were n~nerous Bus Stops <br />in the area where young children arei being picked up and dropped off. <br /> <br />Tr~ Hemingway reported that, 'with thei gate open, there was increased spccd[ing along <br />the roadway, and d~-~sters w~re more{ accessible to outsiders. <br />~e 're-iterated the fac~ that agreement was previously made whereby gate would r~naih <br />closed ~tly, except for emergency vehicles. <br /> <br /> <br />
