The regular meeting of the Mayor and Village Board of Trustees w~s b~ld on <br />Wednesday, June 14, 1995 at 7:30 P.M. in the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Hinzmann, Tr. DiDcmizio, Tr. Cerino, Tr. Shay, Tr. Traver, <br />Tr. Hemingw~y, Tr: Goebel and Atty. Viglotti. <br /> <br /> Minutes: <br />Minutes of a Public Hearing regarding transfer of CATV Franchise and the <br />last regular meeting of the Mayor and Village Board of Trustees held on <br /> May 10, 1995 had been duplicated and previously presented to Board members. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Shay, seconded by Tr. Cerino that the above minutes be accepted as <br />written Carried. <br /> <br />Agenda: <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Peluse, Vice-President of Marshall & S~_r]4ng, to address meeting re: <br />resolu~on rgg. arding Workmen's Cu~-~nsation coverage. <br /> <br />Mr. Peluse addressed ~f.~ ng stating the Village has been io~ured with Continental <br />Insurance Co. for many years and recently they w~re purchased by a cc~%~any by the . <br />name of C&A Insurance Co. <br />He said that, when the Village insurance came up for renewal, we ~_re advised tb~t <br />C&A would not provide Compensation benefits for Volunteer Firefighters which created <br />a probl~, due to %he tim~ factor. <br />Mr. Peluse reported that, in the past, we always managed to find a market for compen- <br />sation exposure for the Village, both Firefighters and employees. <br />He said b~ has acquired coverage under a program called PERMA, where Workmen's <br />Compensation will be covered under one policy, and will take a Board resolution to <br />activate same. <br />Mr. Peluse reported cost for Workmen's Cc~pensation, including Firefighters, last <br />year was $44,717. and under the PEF4~A program this year, s~r~.~ was re~ced to $36,975. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Goebel, seconded by Tr. Traver that the following resolution be <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Village Board of Trustees is desirous of obtain, lng favorable and <br />cost effective rates for its Workmen's Compensation coverage; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that M~rshall & Sterli~, Inc. is hereby authorized <br />to apply and secure on behalf of the Village such ~overage frc~n the PERMA organization <br />and the Village agrccs to join the PERMA program as of June 6th., 1995 and the Village <br />Clerk be designated the contact person <br /> <br />Roll call vote: Tr. DiDomizio (aye), Tr. Cerino (aye), Tr. Shay (aye), Tr. Traver <br />(aye), Tr. Hemingw~y (aye), Tr. Goebel (aye), Mayor Hinm/~nn (aye). A~opted. <br /> <br />Mr. Peluse reports he will m~et with Tr. Di~zio to discuss Policy renswals for <br />which premiun was down almost $4,000. <br /> <br /> <br />
