A Public Hearing on a proposed local law entitled" A local law amending Article <br />lV "Regulations of the Village of Wappingers Falls Zoning Ordinance" so as to add <br />Adult Entertainment, cabarets, as a use requiring Special Permit" was held on <br />July 12, 1995 at 7:00 P.M.in .the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Hinmnann, Tr. DiDonizio, Tr. Cerino, Tr. Shay, Tr. Traver, Tr. <br />~, Tr. Goebel, Atty.Viglotti. Tr. Hemingway absent due to illness. <br /> <br />Also present: Treasurer M~sterson, Police Cc~missioner Terwilliger, Assessor Walker, <br />Zoning Officer Alfonso and Lake Chairman Wayne Thompson. <br /> <br />~4ayor Hin~r~nn read text of prposed local law. <br /> <br />No one present voiced an opinion pro or con said local law. <br /> <br />Public Hearing closed. <br /> <br />A Public Hearing on a proposed local law which wo~ald authorize the towing, storage, <br />and in~nobilization of illegally parked vehicles and vehicles on which there are <br />outstanding fines for parking violations in the Village of Wappingers Falls was held <br />at 7:10 P.M. <br /> <br />Atty. Viglotti read sun,tory of said local law. <br /> <br />Traffic Cc~anissioner Lucato discussed disposition of cars once same are towed <br />away, recu-~nding, after six months, a public auction be held on any unclaimed <br />vehicles. <br /> <br />Atty. Viglotti reported there was a Motor Vehicle regulation which allowed nunic- <br />ipalities to take possession of vehicles after a certain period of time, and apply <br />for titles for s~e. <br />He said towing and storage could be an expensive venture for the Village and, <br />upon question from the audience, discussed provision whereby vehicles can be <br />released to the owners. <br /> <br />~ir. Lucato said that, frcm the first of the year till now, t_here was over $6,000. <br />outsfancling parking tickets and discussed scofflaw process which was not a very <br />efficient manner to dispose of same. <br /> <br />There being no other in~ut, Public Hearinq closed. <br /> <br />A Public Hearing on a proposed local law which would regulate parking along the <br />east side of West ~ Street was held at 7:15 P.M. <br /> <br />Mayor Hinzmann reported there have been many parking problems in this area which <br />is a S~a~e. road and heavily travelled. <br /> <br />Tr. DiDomizio reported there were many ~violations in the vicinity to 92-94 West <br />Main Street and' law should alleviate scme of the probl~ns. <br /> <br />Mr. Bill Sullivan inquired as to who would monitor the 15 minute parking and Tr. <br />DiDc~tizio stated it %~Duld take the full cooperation of the Police Department. <br /> <br /> <br />
