The regular ~mgcting of the Mayor and Village Board of Trustees was held on <br />February 14, 1996 at 7:30 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: M~a_vor Hinzmann, Tr. Cerino, Tr. Sba_v, Tr. Traver, Tr. Goebel, Tr. <br />Hemingw~y and At~t, Viglotti. <br /> <br />Absent: Tr. DiDc~izio on vacation. <br /> <br />~4ayor Hinzmann waived the regular order of business to present Certificates of <br />Recognition to Thc~as Paonessa Sr. and Wayne LaTourette Sr., members of the Village <br />Fire Police, who, above their regular duties, vol,~unteered their services during <br />the week of the Blizzard assisting the Highway Department with traffic duty during <br />the snow clearing operations. <br /> <br />Back in regular order of business: <br /> <br />Action on minutes: <br /> <br />Minutes of the Dec~nber 13th meeting had bc~n duplicated and previously presented <br />to Board members. <br /> <br />'4orion by Tr. Traver, seconded by Tr, Hemingway that the above minutes be accepted <br />as written. Carried. <br /> <br />M/nutes of the JanuarZ 17th ~eting: <br /> <br />Tr. Cerino reported the following correction: <br /> <br />Under Election District No. 1, Inspector should read Shirley Ranieri instead of Josephine <br />_Riley. <br /> <br />Under Tri-~qunicioal Cc~m. reDort, it should read 78% of Town of Wappinger expansion <br />and the total construction costs to date should read $10,344,438. It should also <br />read the Capitol Account was in excess of $350,000. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Goebel, seconded by Tr. Traver that the above minutes be accepted as <br />corrected, carried. <br /> <br />Request frcm Town of Wauoinger Su~.~=_rvisor, Cons%~m~.ce O..%?mith, to address ~cting <br />re: T%~ of Waooinger becoming a Voting member of the Tri,~anicipal Sewer Cc~xaission. <br /> <br />'~rs. Smith and members of the Town Board present ar~ _~rs. Smith read a prepared <br />statement, distributing copies to the Mayor and Board members and a copy follows <br />minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br />T~n of Wappinger Councilman Valdatti addressed .~n~gc. ting stating that when he was <br />elected to the Town Board it was in~nediately brought upon th~n to seek a new <br />sewer syst~n and it was suggested by certain Town people that they construct <br />their own plant on the River. He stated this didn't make economic or environmental <br />sense nor would it have made sense to the taxpayers. <br /> <br /> <br />
