The regular meeting of the ~%ayor and Village Board of Trustees was held on <br />Wednesday, ~arch 13, 1996 at 7:30 P.'~. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: ~4ayor Hi~zmann, Tr. Cerino, Tr. DiDomizio, Tr. Shay, Tr. Traver, Tr. <br />Heming~ay and Tr. Goebel. <br /> <br />Also present: Police C~mmissioner Terwilliger and Assessor Walker. <br /> <br />'4ayor Hinzmann requested a mcment of silent prayer in m~mory of Raymond Dolan, <br />a former Village Trustee and Assessor, who recently ~assed away. <br /> <br />~iinutes: <br /> <br />~inutes of the last regular meeting held 2-12-96 previously distributed. <br /> <br />Tr. Cerino reoorted he made a mistake under the Tri-'.9~nicipal report for the <br />end of the year totals and th~j should read 63.6% for the Village, Town of <br />Poughkeepsie 36.4%; the 59%-41% ratio was for the month of December and the <br />1995 total was still 1.5% less tbzln previous years. <br /> <br />Tr. DiDomizio reported it should be noted that the Public Hearing c~ the adoption <br />of the Village Code had been cancelled. <br /> <br />Tr. Cerino reported the a....opointment of Shirley ~Ranieri as an Election Inspector <br />was still in question. <br /> <br />"4otion by Tr. Shay, seconded by Tr . Hemingway that the above minutes be accepted <br />as written and corrected. Carried. <br /> <br />Agenda: <br /> <br />Request frcm ~. Louis J. Gallo, owner of the Dairy Queen, to address meeting <br />re: Being granted a temporary Certificate of Occupancy to re-open the Dairy <br />Queen on 3-20-96, a-~ter recent renovations: <br /> <br />~lr. Gallo reported they have done extensive remodeling and are planning to have <br />the interior of the building 100% c~tolete and in ._spected but, due to the weather <br />conditions, it has been ~ssible to complete the site work as the entire parking <br />lot has to be rebuilt. <br />He said that, when the site work was cu~lete, he would ask for a drive through <br />but now was requesting to re-open the Dairy Queen as it was, the only difference, <br />people would have to cc~e inside for service. <br /> <br />Regarding parking, 'ir. Gallo reported he would use existing facility , proposed <br />area would be ro,.~ off and traffic will be generated in the rear of the building. <br /> <br />Tr. Shay inquired if the Planning Board had given _Mr. Gallo a list of conditions <br />which must be met prior to the issuance of a t~koorary C. of O. and he said he <br />received notb_ing prior to this .evening. <br /> <br />Code Enforoament Officer Alfonso reported a let%er outlining these conditions <br />signed by b_imself and Planning Board Chairman Visentin has been distributed this <br />date. <br /> <br /> <br />
