The regularly scheduled meeting of the Village Board of <br />Trustees was held on Wednesday, April g, 1987 at 7:30 p.m. <br />at the Village Hall on Spring S~. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett, Trustees Alfonso, Greco, Hemingway, <br />Komornik, and Todaro (Tr. Silvestri absent due to illness)~ <br />also present: Att'y Viglotti. <br /> <br />Communications: <br /> <br />Village Justice's report for March 1987 showing $4,372.00 <br />collected in'fines. -Motion by Tr. Alfonso, seconded by <br />Tr. Komornik that the above report be accepted~-carried. <br /> <br />Zoning Officer's report for March 1987 showing $1,548.25 <br />collected in fees. -Motion by Tr. Alfonso, seconded by <br />Tr. Komornik that the above report be accepted£-carried. <br /> <br />Letter from the United Methodist Church requesting the use <br />of Mesier Park for an early morning Easter Service. Motion <br />by Tr. Alfonso, seconded by Tr. Hemingway that permission be <br />granted;-carried. <br /> <br />Letter from Pete Sanfilippo requesting that $215.00 be appro- <br />priated to defer the expenses of the McDonald Run. Motion by <br />Tr. Komornik, seconded by Tr. Hemingway to make said appro- <br />priation;-carried. <br /> <br />Letter from Hank DiMarco re correspondence with the Gov. re <br />a proposed River Rd. construction project. <br /> The Mayor suggested that a committee be formed to work <br />with Mr. DiMarco to follow-up on thia as it would relieve <br />traffic congestion through the Village. <br /> Mr. DiMarco explained that the Dutchess County Planning <br />Board had requested the New York State Department of Trans- <br />portation to conduct a feasibility study. He stated that this <br />would address a need as a road along the river could draw <br />through traffic, leaving Route 9 for commercial and business <br />traffic; Mr. DiMarco requested the support of the Village <br />Board for this proposed route. <br /> Tr. Alfonso suggested that the Mayor work with Mr. DiMarco <br />on this. Motion by Tr. Greco, seconded by Tr. Komornik that <br />that the Mayor follow-up on the progress of the River Rd. <br />proposal with Mr. DiMarco;-carried. <br /> <br />Letter from the D.C. Commissioner of Planning re proposed <br />landscaping for the DOT Rte 9 Project. <br /> The Mayor explained that this had been proposed some <br />months ago and involved the installation of a median mall on <br />Rte 9 by DOT provided that the Village would agree to under- <br />take the subsequent maintainance. <br /> Tr. Alfonso observed that if the County was interested in <br />a median mall, the County could maintain it. <br /> Tr. Greco stated that the Village had already committed to <br />costs in regard to the project in reference to certain water <br />and sewer "betterments", sidewalks, and lights. <br /> Motion by Tr. Greco, seconded by Tr. Alfonso that the <br />Village decline in respect of maintaining a proposed median <br />strip;-carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
