Minutes of Workshop Session Held July 19, 1988 in the Village Hall, <br />Spring Street~ Wappingers Falls, New York. <br /> <br />Those present= Trustees Greco~Komornik, Ward, Bregliao <br /> Louis Vlglottl~ Village Attorney <br /> <br />Absent: Gregory Hemingway, Mayor <br /> Trustees Hargrave, Kolb. <br /> <br /> Meeting came to order 7:00 <br /> <br /> The first item discussed was the Bleachery buildingo <br /> It was suggested that a letter be sent to Mr. Kanor in reference to <br /> the alarm system and the bridge. <br /> Board members are concerned about equipment and possible damage to <br /> same, injury tO firemen and also the alarm being tripped. The Board <br /> £$ also concerned about insurance. <br /> The fire underwriters know about these ~oblems, <br /> Tr, Graco stated that DOT was told to get off the property, <br /> Tr. Komornik suggested that a letter be wr~[ten concerning the access <br /> of equi~ment. <br /> Village Clerk ~owney to write a letter to Atty. Viglotti in <br /> to ~he bridge which is u~safe and also that the slams be tied into <br /> Fire Headquarters in Poughkeepsie. Atty. Viglotti then will reply <br /> as to the course of action they should follow. <br /> Tr. Breglia stated that these matters are unsafe for the Vlll&ge. <br /> Tro Ward stated that he and Supt. Herring visited the area end the <br /> beams are rusted. <br /> Tr. Komornik stated the lines are under the bridge, <br /> Tr. Ward inquired if they could be removed, <br /> Tr. Graco asked how. Bng. Paggi said that they can close loo9 <br /> on Hillside Avenue down to the entrance and .this way they are not <br /> crossing. It will be expensive but our people can do it. ~his would <br /> save money. <br /> Tr. Graco pointed out that this was surveyed by Eng. Paggi six years <br /> ago. <br /> Tr. Ward ques~oned whether or not they could do away with the tanks. <br /> Tr. Graco stated that there is water in one. <br /> Discussion ended. <br /> ~r. Komornik stated that she received a'phone call from Ed Nennie who <br />· resides on Elm St. He stated that there were potholes on ~lm'St. and <br /> he is concerned..He would like 'them ~ixed as children play o~ this <br /> street and he is concerned for their safety. Also he would l£ke a <br /> sig~ on the corner of Fr&nElindale and Elm Street. He suggested that <br /> a sign be erected at [east fifteen feet stating there is no <br /> People ~ark right on the corner and it is difficult to make the turn. <br /> If the t~ucks and cars come to this corner it is a problem. <br /> Tr. Breglia asked if there were any ordinances pertaining'tothe s~gns <br /> being 15 feet. <br /> Tr. Komornik stated that No Parking signs can 'be put 15 feet, <br /> Tr. Graco stated that Leo has a complaint sheer'and he gives sa~e to <br /> Tom Herring. <br /> It was also stated that there are 9otholes near Cuchelo~s house. <br /> Tr. Breglia suggested that this be left to Supt. Herring. He has the <br /> complaint sheet. They should be concerned about the Safety of the <br /> children playing in the area. <br /> Tr. Komornik suggested that a sign stating a dead end street be <br /> erected on ~lm St. Mr. Barney Lopez suggested ~hst fbi'S sign be <br /> <br /> <br />
