Regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on <br />3-8-89 at 7:30 p.m. in the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Hemingway, Tr. Ward, Tr. Greco, Tr. Hargrave, <br />Tr. Kolb, Tr. Costello and Att'y Viglotti. <br /> <br />Minutes: <br />~inutes of the last regular Village Board meeting held 2-8-89 <br />had been duplicated and previously presented to Board members. <br /> <br />Motion be Tr. Greco, seconded by Tr. Ward that the above minutes <br />be accepted as written. -Carried. <br /> <br />Agenda: <br /> <br />Nunzio Raffaele, North St., inquired as to the status of the <br />Town of Poughkeepsie Drainage project. <br /> <br />Att'y Viglotti replied Village has initiated law suit against <br />the Town and asked that an attorney be appointed to supervise <br />operations. Town opposed this concept and meetings were held. <br />He stated Town was very incompetent or they dont have the funding. <br />Mr. Viglotti reported Court has 90 days to respond to action and <br />we were waiting for a judge to make a decision. He stated, as <br />of 2-8-89, easements have not been received from St. Mary's or <br />Mt. Alvernia and we haven't received any plans fo~ bid. <br /> <br />Discussion followed on exorbitant increased cost for the project <br />now compared to when it was originally planned, and on the <br />existence of a holding pond which causes a dangerous condition. <br /> <br />Reschedule Public Hg. for the renewal of the CATV contract: <br /> <br />Public hg. scheduled for April 12~ 1989 -7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Att'y Viglotti reported he had previously discussed proposed <br />contract with CATV representative, Howard Erichsen, and they <br />have come close to an agreement. He discussed proposal and the <br />inception of a Public Access channel to which any organization in <br />the community would have access. <br /> <br />Action on bids for the installation of a new roof at the Highway <br /> <br />garage: <br />Bids were publicly opened and read on 2-22-89 at 11:00 a.m. <br /> <br />Att'y Viglotti reported he had received communiciation from <br />Hr. Paggi, engineer on the project, and due to an irregularity <br />in the bidding procedures, recommended same be re-bid. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Greco, seconded by Tr. Hargrave that, upon <br />recommendation of the Village Attorney, the abovementioned <br />project be re-bid. - Carried. <br /> <br /> Revitalization of the Picnic in the Park: <br /> Tr. Greco stated that Village should look into the possibility <br /> of having it and finding an appropriate sponsor. <br />Mayor Hemingway reported S.W.Johnson Engine Co. has expressed <br />an interest in conducting the affair. <br /> <br /> <br />
