Regular Meeting of Mayor & Village Board of Trustees was held on <br />May 10, 1989 in the Village Hall, 7 Spring St. Wappingers Falls, NY. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Hemingway, Trustees Ward, Hargrave, Kolb and <br />Village Attorney, Louis Viglotti <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees Fisch & Buckley <br /> <br />Others present: Thomas Herring-Supt. of Pub. Works, Cindy Lation- <br />Chairman of Recreation, Robert Valdati-Town of Wapp. Councilman, <br />Albert Roberts, AttyJames Snowden, Representative Rudy LaPar, Art <br />Maddox, Pat Lyons, W.T. Garner Engine Co., Tom Burke, S.J. Johnson <br />Engine Co., Harry Greco, Member ZBA., Achilles Napoleon, Eileen <br />Masterson, Mesier Ave. So. Vlg. , Robert Juliano, W. Main St., Vlg. <br />Roger & Betty Caparo, Hillside Ave., Vlg.,~Henry DiMarco, Charles <br />McCluskey, So. Ave., Vlg., Tony DiDomizio, Jinnie Dominzio, Edna <br />Hinzman, Jean Laffin, Barbara Marshall. <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Hemingway requested a motion to dispense with the reading of <br />the minutes of the April 12th meeting & the April 25th meeting and <br />to approve same as written and forwarded to all Board Members. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr.Hargrave seconded by Tr. Costello to approve the minutes <br />of the April 12th & April 25th meetings and to disperse with reading <br />of same. <br />All in favor - Motion carried. April 12th & 25th minutes approved <br />as written. <br /> <br />Mayor Hemingway stated that village resident Helen Erickson was <br />awarded "Volunteer of the Year," and the article can be read in the <br />Southern Dutchess News. <br /> <br />Tr. Hargrave asked about an inspector for the Zoning Office. <br />Tr. Ward stated that this was to be voted on, <br /> <br />Communications: <br /> <br />Public Works: <br />Supt. Herring stated that the Dept. has been checking and repairing <br />manholes, sewers and pot hoies. <br />Mayor Hemingway questioned the status of the sewer line on E. Main St. <br />Supt. Herring replied it is loaded but there is no infiltration in <br />the pipes and water is running. <br /> <br />Electric Light: <br />Tr. Kolb had no report. <br /> <br />Fire: <br />Tr. Ward stated that Pat Lyons wanted to address the Board. <br />Mr. Lyons stated that the Board had been given copies concerning <br />repairs to fire equipment. There are 3 items that have to be addressed. <br />They are those that ar~ required, recommended and miscellaneous. All <br />are needed for certification. He then reported there are 2 ground ~.~_2~_.~ <br />~ladders that have failed to pass inspection. <br />A discussion was held on repairs. <br />Mr. Lyons requested $2,500 to cover the repairs. <br />Mayor Hemingway asked if this would cover certification also. <br /> <br /> <br />
