A Public H~aring on a proposed local law to provide for the Codification of the Local Laws, Ordinances and certain resolutions of the Village of Wappingers Falls, w~s held on July 10, 1996 at 7:00 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. Present: Mayor Hinzmann, Tr. DiDcmizio, Tr. Cerino, Tr. Traver, Tr. Marshall, Tr. Hemingway, Atty. Viglotti. Also present: Assessor WaLker, Zoning Officer Alfonso, Eileen Masterson, Hank DiMarco, Bob Juliano, Ed Keeler, Donald aD~] Kathy Mazochi, James Bain, Laura Ann Bain, Tony Pacio Charles McCluskey, Police Commissioner Terwilliger, J~an Laffin and Edna Hinzmann/ Mayor Hinmnann reviewed the Table of Contents of the proposed law which included the various types of legislation contained therein. Mr. Bob Juliano discussed a local law which had been proposed a few months back which was entitled "Property Mainteuz~nce Law". He said there.~were three chapters in the new Code reserved for this legislation and he was concerned that this law would be inserted which had been tabled because the residents disapproved of same. Atty. Viglotti reported Local Law #5 of 1995 was a proposed law which was never enacted and had been referred back to Mayor Hin~nann reported above local law was a dead issue. Mr. Mazochi inquired as length of t/me it took L~GISLATIVE Cc~n. to c~3tete the Code and Tr. Traver replied about two years of review between the various comm- ittees and Departments. Mr. ~azochi reported many laws have been cbm2aged within the Code and it wasn't fair to the public to just limit a PUBLIC Hg. to half an hour. Mr. Mazochi also questioned the legality of different sections of the Water Department Rules and Regulations. It was detennined that copies of the Code could be let out on a rental basis and that further Public Hea. r. ings on the Code would be conducted. Public Hearing close 7:30 P.M.
