The regular meeting of the Mayor and Village Board of Trustees held was held on August 13, 1997 at 7:30 P.M. in the American Legicn Hall. Present: Mayor Belding, Tr. Cerino, Tr. Marshall, Tr. L~grence, Tr. Goebel, Tr. Heningway & Atty. Viglotti. Tr. D~i0~on vacation. Also present: Superintendent H~rsb~]l, Zoning Officer Alfonso, Fire Chief Alfonso and Water Cu~,.~ssioner Travis. Minutes: ~=---~s Of the last regttlar mccting held previously presented to Board members. July 9, 1997 had been duplicated and Motion by Tr. Hemingway, seconded by Tr. Goebel that the above minutes be accepted as written. Carried, A~enda: Report on the "911" Pro~rs~: Mayor Beld~ng said he had requested a County representative's attendance to address mccting relative to the progr~n but, due to another matter, declined after the agenda had been sent out. He will be ma_de part of next month's ag _er~la. Report on Trash Receptacle program: Mayor Belding reported this also was a cancellation and will be put on next month's agenda. He said mccting had ~bac~n previously held with Sherman Lein and Frederick Hirschberg, representatives of Aristar Media A~vertising, the Mayor, Tr. Goebel.and Supt. Marshall regarding a proposal to bring in concrete receptacles for the downtown area. Mayor Belding reported they solicit advertisement fron local businesses, place same on the containers and the Village's only responsibility was to to e~pty same and we wpuld be reimbursed with sc~e royalties. Lease renewal with Cu~,~unity Services for the Post Office build~ng: Deferred till later in ~ting. Report on re~aving East Main Street: Mayor Belding reported this was a go project but, before this can take effect, two proposals must be accc~plished: 1. Water Department to install a 12" main. 2. Culvert to be installed under East Main Strcct just past the Post Office. He said these projects have to be completed before repaying can be started. Set date for Workshp session: Mayor Belding reported there were certain proposals before the Board which needed to be implemented and, with the help of the Board, this can be acccmplished. He said he would like to first meet with each committee and discuss their individual projects. Tr. Lawrence reported be thinks sessions would improved cu,'~t~nications. Workshop scheduled for Wednesday, 9-3-97 at 7:30 P.M. at American Legion Hall.
