The regular ..~Jccting of the Mayor and Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, <br />December 10, 1997 at 7:30 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Belding, Tr. DiDcmizio, Tr. Marshall, Tr. Lawrence, Tr. Hemingway, <br />Tr. Goebel and Atty. Viglotti. <br /> <br />Also present Zoning Officer Alfonso and Water Cc~luissioner Travis. <br /> <br />Minutes: <br /> <br />Minutes of the last regular meeting of the _Mayor and Village Board of Trustees held <br />on November 12, 1997 had ~_~n duplicated and ~reviously presented %o Board members. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Cerino, seconded by Tr. La~rence that the minutes be accepted as <br />written. Carried. <br /> <br />Mayor Belding asked if anyone in the audience who wished to be heard and Mr. Vincent <br />MDrello inquired as to the position of Building InsPeCtor and Mayor Belding replied <br />this has been referred to the Personnel C~,,kittee. Resume cn file. <br /> <br />Mr. _Maurice Keenan inquired as to the status of his application for a Peddler's <br />license. <br /> <br />Mayor Belding reported Mr. Kcc~nan had to relocate and, therefore, apply for another <br />license. He said that, since ownership of property he wanted to ven%d~ was question- <br />able, subject has been referred to the Village Attorney for clarification. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Cerino, seconded by Tr. Hemingway tb~t Mr. Keenan's application be <br />table pending the outcc~e of the above. Carried. <br /> <br />Assessor Walker to address mccting relative to STAR ex~tion and Mr. Walker said <br />same had ~?~u made part of his monthly report. <br /> <br />Discussion followed on assistance with the filing of the applications even though <br />this involved the School tax which generates through the Town, as a gesture of good <br />will to the senior citizens. <br /> <br />Tr. Heuingway inquired as to the n~ing of the new housing on GilmDre Blvd. <br /> <br />Mayor Belding reported he received letter fr~u Peg O'Leary for Hudson Valley <br />Housing Develo~m~e~nt Corp., requesting the Village approve the numbering of the <br />houses which are presently under construction on Gilmore Blvd. E., numbers 1 to <br />12. He said she w~nts the Board %O ratify same but he said same should be referred <br />to the Post Office for rec~tions. <br /> <br />A~sessor Walker said the Village may have to adopt ~he actual street name and <br />numbers and the Post Office then reviews same and make recc~tions. <br /> <br />Mayor Belding said the Fire Chief opposes same as this could Icause confusion, <br />especially with the 911 program. He said Post Office recc~t~nds continuing the <br />numbers on north and south Gilmore Blvd. and eliminate east. <br /> <br /> <br />
