The regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, <br />July 10, 1968 at 7:30 P.M. in the Mesier Homestead. <br /> <br />Those present: Mayor Furnari, Tr. DiDomizio, Tr. Baim, Tr. Fries, Tr. D.O., <br />Napoleon, Tr. Cheethmm and Atty. Lyons. <br />Tr. A. Napoleon. absent. <br /> <br />Mayor Furnari expressed his thanks to Deputy Mayor Bain for an excellent job in <br />handling Village business while he was away and he also thanked all Village <br />officials for their assistance and cooperation. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Fries, seconded by Tr. Bain that meeting go into Executive session. <br />Carried. <br /> <br />Executive Session. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Fries, seconded by Tr. Bain that meeting return to regular session. <br />Carried. <br /> <br />Minutes of last regular meeting of the Village Board had been duplicated and <br />previously presseted to the Board by the Clerk. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Cheetham, seconded by Tr. Bain that minutes of last regular meeting <br />be accepted as written. Carried. <br /> <br />Petitions: None. <br /> <br />~ommunications: <br />Letter was read ~rom Frances Drace, Librarian at the Grinnell Library, reporting <br />the following statistics for the year ending M~y 31, 1968: Number of borrowers <br />from the Village registered- 1,618. Number of books loaned to residents of the <br />Village- 17,231. Report filed. <br /> <br />Village Justice Pantaline's report for month of June, 196~ was read showing a <br />total of $815.00 collected in fined. <br />Motion by Tr. Bain, seconded by Tr.-DiDomizio that Village Justice Pantaline's <br />repc~t be accepted as read. Carried. <br /> <br />Letter from Mrs. Fasciani concerning work schedule at the Mesier Homestead. <br />Motion by ~r. D.O. Napoleon, seconded by Tr. Fries that this topic be taken <br />up ~n Executive session. Carried. <br /> <br />Letter from Mr. Ira Alsdorf concerning a Johnny on the Spot at the dead end on <br />Rte. 9. It was the decision of the Board that letter be returned for signature. <br /> <br />Letter was lead from F.J. Barrett, 10115 Kukhave~, Dallas, Texas, with attached <br />post card ~howing East Main St. as it appeared at an earlier date and inquired <br />if Village requested to purchase same for $1.00. <br />Mayor Furnari to accept post card on behalf of the Village B~ of Trustees. <br /> <br />Letter was read from Cecil and Thereaa Morgan, requesting that lot #lTNO0 be re- <br />zoned from R-1 to General Business so that they may erect a new bldg. to house <br />flower shop. Attached is plans and a $50.00 check. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. D.O. Napoleon, seconded by Tr. Bain that the above request, along <br /> <br /> <br />
