Miscellaneous meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, <br />Aug. 7, 1968 at 7:30 P,M. in the Mesier Homestead. <br /> <br />Those present: Mayor Furnari, Tr. DiDomizio, Tr. A. Napoleon, Tr, Bain, Tr. <br />Fries, Tr. D.O. Napoleon, Tr. Cheetham and Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Others present: Mr. Syrles and Mr. Whirr of the Dimes Savings Bank of Brooklyn, <br />Mr. Osten and Mr. Epstein~ Mr. Mitchell and ~r. Breaul~ of the Village Planning <br />Bd. <br /> <br />Mr. Mitchell, Planning Bd. member, addressed th~ meeting requesting endorse- <br />ment of the Master Plan by resolution to include the following: 1, Vote of <br />confidence from the Village Board, and 2. Indication by the Board to proceed <br />with adoption of the amended Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br />Mayor Furnari asked Village Atty. for direction. <br />Arty. Lyons reported it was the attitude of the Board that a series of meetings <br />be acheduled between Village and Planning Bds. to resolved any difficulties <br />which need clarification. <br />He stated.plan was acceptable, but land use need clarification. <br /> <br />Mr. Mitchell reported Planning Bd. adopted Master Plan and Village Bd. must <br />adopt Zoning Ord. He stated there was no requirement for endorsement of the <br />Plan, but Planning Bd. requested resolution showing confidence. <br /> <br />Tr. DiDomizio stated report was accepted from the Planning Bd. and next'step <br />would be adoption by the Village Bd. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported Development Plan involves land use map which Village Bd. <br />wants to review, along with other areas which need explanation. <br /> <br />Tr. Fries reported extension of time is needed for review. <br /> <br />Tr, D.O. Napoleon reported he could see no reason why Master Plan couldn't <br />be adopted, as it was subject to change. <br /> <br />Mr. Mitchell presented entire Planning Bd.'s resignation if no action was <br />to be taken on plan. <br /> <br />~r. A. Napoleon reported Village Bd. acted on advice of Village Atty., this <br />being a legal matter, as zoning entered into it. <br />He stated Village gave Planning Bd. vote of confidence when work started on the <br />pro~ect. <br />Tr. A. Napoleon reported there was some misunderstanding and resignaflon of <br />the Planning Bd. shouldn't be accepted. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported that if Zoning Map is changed, Development Plan would be <br />undermined. He stated action was deferred · due to vacations. <br /> <br />Mr. Mitchell stated each Trustee has had a copy of the Master Plan for about <br />4 months. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. A. Napoleon, seconded by Tr. D.O. Napoleon that the Village Bd. <br />endorse the Master Plan, as submitted by the Planning Bd. with reservation <br />that it could be changed if changes are indicated in implement plan by ordinance. <br />Mo%ion carried-one against. <br /> <br /> <br />
