Miscellaneous Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, <br />August 28~ 1968 at 7:30 P.M. in the Mesier Homestead. <br /> <br />Those present: Acting Mayor Bain, Tr. DiDomizio, Tr. A. Napoleon, Tr. Fries., <br />Tr. D.O. Napoleon. <br />Absent: Mayor Furnari, Tr. Cheetham and Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. DiDomizio, seconded by Tr. D.O. Napoleon that meeting go 'into <br />Executive Session. Carried <br /> <br />Executive Session: <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. DiDomizio, seconded by Tr. D.O. Napoleon that meeting return <br />to regular session. Carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Syrles~ representative of Dimes Savings Bank of Brooklyn, addressed the. <br />meeting in reference to Tudor Apartments. <br />He reported buildings have been demolished within given time as requested and <br />bulldozing operations have begun. <br />He expressed banks' willingness to complete other two buildings according to <br />plan. <br />He reported bank agrees with Engineer Chazen's report and if Village didn't <br />want completion of buildings 1 & 2, they would reques~ demolition of same. <br />Mr. Syrles stated Engineer Chazen's report says buildings 1 & 2 are sound and <br />the bank will go along with double sheet rock on the ground floor. <br /> <br />Mr. Syrles reported that if Building Permit was granted, he would engage Mr. <br />Iser to complete buildings. <br />He discussed Engineer Chazen's report and agreed to attic ventilation, roof <br />joists, front columns and window sills. <br />Mr. Syrles reported there was a questioN as to whether walls were in or not <br />and the bank would check same. <br />He stated compliance has been met with type of construction, stair width, <br />doors, sheeting and grading. He reported fire stops will. be properly con- <br />structed. <br />He stated electrical plan has been found and plumbing and heating has to be.put <br />in. <br />Mr. Syrles reported bank has agreed to an 8" water line, ~ydrants and a booster <br />pump, provided a Building Permit is gaanted. <br /> He stated any buyer will be advised that buildings are two stories. <br /> <br />Discussion followed on a water pump and Tr. A. Napoleon reported request would <br />have to go to Water. Dept. as same was never brought up. <br /> <br />Discussion followed on the installation of a water tank at Tudor Apts. <br />Tr. A. Napoleon reported Water Dept. had never been approached since 1966 <br />for water and plans must be forwarded Dept. of Health for approval. <br />He also stated no one appmoached Water Dept. since tank'was rejected by <br />previous owners. <br />Tr. A. Napoleon reported the State frowns on pumps in water lines. <br />Tr.~D.O. Napoleon discussed the 13 points la~d down by the Village Bd. <br />Discussion followed on means to provide sufficient water pressure at Tudor <br />Apts. <br /> <br /> <br />
