Miscellaneous Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, August 28~ 1968 at 7:30 P.M. in the Mesier Homestead. Those present: Acting Mayor Bain, Tr. DiDomizio, Tr. A. Napoleon, Tr. Fries., Tr. D.O. Napoleon. Absent: Mayor Furnari, Tr. Cheetham and Atty. Lyons. Motion by Tr. DiDomizio, seconded by Tr. D.O. Napoleon that meeting go 'into Executive Session. Carried Executive Session: Motion by Tr. DiDomizio, seconded by Tr. D.O. Napoleon that meeting return to regular session. Carried. Mr. Syrles~ representative of Dimes Savings Bank of Brooklyn, addressed the. meeting in reference to Tudor Apartments. He reported buildings have been demolished within given time as requested and bulldozing operations have begun. He expressed banks' willingness to complete other two buildings according to plan. He reported bank agrees with Engineer Chazen's report and if Village didn't want completion of buildings 1 & 2, they would reques~ demolition of same. Mr. Syrles stated Engineer Chazen's report says buildings 1 & 2 are sound and the bank will go along with double sheet rock on the ground floor. Mr. Syrles reported that if Building Permit was granted, he would engage Mr. Iser to complete buildings. He discussed Engineer Chazen's report and agreed to attic ventilation, roof joists, front columns and window sills. Mr. Syrles reported there was a questioN as to whether walls were in or not and the bank would check same. He stated compliance has been met with type of construction, stair width, doors, sheeting and grading. He reported fire stops will. be properly con- structed. He stated electrical plan has been found and plumbing and heating has to be.put in. Mr. Syrles reported bank has agreed to an 8" water line, ~ydrants and a booster pump, provided a Building Permit is gaanted. He stated any buyer will be advised that buildings are two stories. Discussion followed on a water pump and Tr. A. Napoleon reported request would have to go to Water. Dept. as same was never brought up. Discussion followed on the installation of a water tank at Tudor Apts. Tr. A. Napoleon reported Water Dept. had never been approached since 1966 for water and plans must be forwarded Dept. of Health for approval. He also stated no one appmoached Water Dept. since tank'was rejected by previous owners. Tr. A. Napoleon reported the State frowns on pumps in water lines. Tr.~D.O. Napoleon discussed the 13 points la~d down by the Village Bd. Discussion followed on means to provide sufficient water pressure at Tudor Apts.
