The regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, <br />Sept. 11, 1968 at 7:30 P.M. in the Mesier Homestead. <br /> <br />Those present: Mayor Furnari~ Tr. DiDomizio~ Tr. A.Napoleon~ Tr. Bain, Tr-. <br />Fries, Tr. D.O. Napoleon, Tr. Cheetham and Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. DiDomizio, seconded by Tr. Fries that meeting og into Executive <br />Session. Carried. <br /> <br />Executive Session. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. D.O. Napoleon, seconded by Tr. DiDomizio that meeting return to <br />regular session. Carried. <br /> <br />Minutes of a Miscellaneous meeting held on Aug. 7~ 1968 had been duplicated <br />previously presented to the Board of Trustees. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Fries, seconded by Tr. Cheetham that the above memtioned minutes <br />be accepted as written. Carried. <br /> <br />Minutes of the last regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees had <br />been duplicated and previously presented to Board members. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Fries, seconded by Tr. Bain ~hat the above mentioned minutes <br />be accepted as written. Carried. <br /> <br />Minutes of a Miscellaneous meeting held on Aug. 28, 1968 had been duplicated <br />and previously presented %o the gillage Board.. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. DiDomizio, seconded by Tr. D.O. Napoleon that the above mentioned <br />minutes be accepted as written. Carried. <br /> <br />Petitions: <br />One petition received from residents of Clapp Ave. complaining about hazard- <br />ous traffic conditions. <br /> <br />Tr. A. Napoleon reported receiving notification concerning above petition and <br />inspected the area. He stated situation is hazardous as numerous children <br />play on Clapp Ave. and W. Academy St. <br />Tr. A. Napoleon reported interviewing 15 residents and recommended adopting <br />a 15 M.P.H. speed limit on Clapp Ave., which would be presented at the Public <br />Hearing on Oct. 2~ 1968. <br />Tr. A. Napoleon also recommended the e~ection of "Children Playing" signs on <br />Clapp Ave. <br /> <br />Tr. Fries inquired as to the legality of reducing speed limit on Village <br />streets. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported Speed Ordinance must be apvroved by the Division of <br />Safety Engineering, N.Y.S. Dept. of Transportation, and approval wouldn't be <br />given for a speed ordinance less than 30 MPH under normal condtions and 25 MPH <br />under restricted conditions. <br /> <br /> <br />
