Public Hearing on the following ordinances (proposed) was held in the W~. To <br />Garner ~ngine House on Oct. 2, lg68 at <br /> <br />1) Ordinance Prohibiting Parking in Designated Locations. <br />2) Ordinance Designating Stop Intersection. <br />3) Ordinance ?rohibiting Parking on the Westerly Side of West Main Street from <br /> the northerly Village Line to Church Street. <br />4) Ordinance Bstablishin9 Maximum Speed Limit. <br />5) Ordinance Designating One Way Street and Repealing prior Designation. <br /> <br />Those present: Mayor Furnar$, Tr. DiDomizio, Tr. A. Napoleon, <br />Fries, Tr. D.O. Napoleons Tr. Cheetham and Atty. Lyons, <br /> <br />Village Clerk'read notice of Public Hearing as it appeared in the W. & S.D. News <br />on September 19, 1968. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons read the following proposed Ordinances: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance Bstablishin9 Maximum Speed" <br /> R~SOLVBD, ANDBE IT ORDAINED, by the Board of Trustees of the Village of <br />Wappingers Falls, Dutchess County, New York, as follows: <br />. S~CTION 1. Thirty (30) miles per hour is hereby established as the maximum <br />'spee~ limit Et which vehicles may proceed on or along highways within the <br />'corporate limits of this Village. <br /> SECTION 2. The speed Ordinance of the,Village of Wappingers Falls, as adopted <br /> .May 3, 1933 and amended May 7, 1957, and all other Village Ordinances or.parts <br /> of Ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed as of the effective date <br /> of this Ordinance. <br /> Section 3. This Ordinanc~ shall take effect immediately. <br /> Tr. A, Napoleon reported receiving a petition and in an effort to alleviate <br /> speed conditions, requested a 15 M~H speed limit, which was disapproved by ~he <br /> State. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons read the following Ordinance~ Ordinance Prohibiting Parking on <br />the Westerly Side of West Main St. ff~ the Northerly Village Line to Church <br />St.: <br /> RESOLVED~ AND BB IT ORDAINED, by the Board of Trustees of the Village of <br />Wappingers Falls~ Dutchess County, New York~ as follows: <br /> ~SECTION l. The parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited on the westerly side <br />of West Main Street between the northerly Village line and the northerly curb <br />line of Church Street. <br /> SRCTIC~ 2. T~e restricted parking Ordinance of the Village of Wappingers <br />Falls adopted July 8, 1958 is hereby repealed as of the effective date of <br />thiS ordin&nce. <br /> SHCTION 3.
