The regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, <br />Jan. 8, 1969 at 7:30 P.M. in the Mesier Homestead. <br /> <br />Those present: Mayor Furnari, Tr. DiDomizio, Tr. A. Napoleon, Tr. Bain, Tr. <br />Fries, Tr. D.O. Napoleon, Tr. Cheetham and Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Motion byTr. Fries, seconded by Tr. D.O. Napoleon that meeting go into <br />Executive Session. Carried. <br /> <br />Executive Session. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Bain, seconded by Tr. Cheetham that meeting return to regular <br />session. Carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Donaldson, President of Viking Instruments, Inc., addressed meeting request- <br />ing opportunity to revise proposal for home alerting radios. <br />He reported quote was high under item 3 of specifications due to the inclusion <br />of batteries. <br />He requested permission to withdraw quote of 12-30-68 and resubmit quote of <br />9-27-68, which would be a saving of $300.O0~to Village. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported other four bidders read specifications correctly. <br />To be taken uD under committee reports. <br /> <br />Mr. Donald Rice, representative of Motorola, addregsed meeting in reference <br />to a quotation he sulmmitted for a new radio system in Police station, which <br />included base station with microphone, Pre-amplifier, tower, transmission <br />line and two 30 watt mobile stations. <br />He reported entire cost would be $2,812.00. <br /> <br />Mayor F~rnari reported another estimate was received from G.E. Corp. at a <br />total cost of $,015.00, which included a portable unit also. <br /> <br />Mr. ~ice reported equipment could also be leased at a cost of $66.93 per mo. <br />without maintenance and $93.43 with. <br />He stated it would take 6 to 8 wks, to install. <br /> <br />Capt. Costa discussed break downs of present radios and increase in maintenance <br />repairs. <br />To be taken up under agenda. <br /> <br />Minutes of last regular meeting held 12-11-68 had been duplicated and previously <br />presented to the Village Bd. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr.
