Public'Hearing on proposed ordinances was held on Feb. 5, 1969 at 7:30 P.M. in~ <br />the Mesier Homestead: <br /> <br />Those present:'Mayor Furnari, Tr. DiDomizio, Tr. A. Napoleon, Tr. Bain, Tr. <br />Fries, Tr. D.O. Napoleon, Tr. Cheetham and Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons read the following notice of Public Hearing on proposed ordinances <br />as it appeared in the W. & S.D.aews on Jan. 23, 1969: <br /> <br />NOTICE IS HER~Y GIVE~q that a Public Hearing will be held by the Board of <br />Trustees of the Village of Wappingers Falls, Dutch, ss County, New Yorks at the <br />Mesier Homestead in said Village on the 5th day of February, 1969, at 7:30 o'clock <br />P.M., upon the question of the enactment of two (~) ordinancesm in the matter <br />of the government of sald Village. <br /> <br />Said ordinances in general terms, are as follows: <br />1. An Ordinance fixing the maximum speed llmit within the Village of Wappin!lers <br />Falls on all streets and highways, except Route US 9, at thirty (30) miles per <br />hour. The maximum speed limit on Route US 9 is fixed at forty (40) miles per <br />hour. Ail prior~ conflicting Ordinances are repealed. <br /> <br />2, An Ordinance prohibiting stopping on the west side of Route US 9 between the <br />northerly curb line of Wenliss Terrace and a point five hundred (bOO) feet north <br />of the north curb line of East Main Street. <br /> <br />The full and complete text of the aforesaid proposed Ordinances are on file in the <br />Office of the Village Clerk where they may be examined during the regular business <br />hours of said office. <br /> <br />No one present voiced an opinion in favor or against proposed ordinance. <br /> <br />Public Hearing closed 7:35 P.M. <br /> <br /> <br />
