Miscellaneous meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wed., <br />May 28~ 1969 at ?:30 P.M. in the Meslef Homestead. <br /> <br />Those present: Mayor Furnari, Tr. DiDomizio, Tr. Valentino, Tr. Bain, <br />Tr. Cheetham~ Tr, Hoglihan, and Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Fries, seconded by Tr. Bain that meeting go into Executive <br />session. Carried. <br /> <br />ExecUtive Session, <br /> <br />Motion by Tro Fries, seconded by Tr. DiDomizio that meeting return to regular <br />session. Carried. <br /> <br />Communications: <br /> <br />Letter was read from Mr. Joseph Raffaele, 72 W. Main St., reporting that dur- <br />ing week of M~y 12-16, 1969, he had a new sewer li~e i~stalled connecting <br />his house at 74 W. Main St. to the maid sewer system. When digging was com- <br />plete, it was discovered that, not only was his ~in broken, but also the <br />main line. cause of damage is unknown bu~ it appears that, when the main <br />sewer collapsed, his pipe settled and also suffered damage. New pipe'was <br />laid to correct this condition and the hole closed. Copy of letter forwarded <br />Tr. Fries and Tr, Cheetham. <br /> <br />Mr. Raffaele inquired as to who would pay bill Yor re~airs. <br /> <br />Tr. Fries reporte~ Village's sewer workman felt it wasn't Village's trouble, <br /> <br />Tr. DiDomizio inquired as to who determines which party pays the bill and <br />itty. Lyons replied Village Board has to make determination. <br /> <br />Mayor ~urnari recommended acquiring report from sewer workman. <br /> <br />Mr. Raffaele reported upper part of sewer was repaired 10 years ago. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons' recommended that from now on, determination be made before repairs <br />are carried out. <br /> <br />Tr. Fries requested monetary costs be had. <br /> <br />To be taken up at the next regular meeting. <br /> <br />L~tter was read from Gulf Oil Coro. in reference to Mr. Haubennestel's letter <br />of 5/12/69 regarding debris and junk cars in the rear of their station at <br />Clinton and W. Main Streets, <br />They report they met with Mr. Haubennestel and were told that because of Gulf's <br />cooperation in permitting the Village to install a water line through their <br />property at 130 B. Main St., Village would correct the violation at little or <br />no'cost to Gulf. They report that if this detail has not been carried out~ <br />permission is granted to trespass on the property involved. Copy of letter <br />forwarded Mr. Haubennestil. <br /> <br />Mr. Haubennestel reported arrangements were'made to go through Gulf's property <br />on ~ast Main St. and propert~ has been repaired by Village crews. <br />He reported no agreement was made and Gulf was told that the above condition <br /> <br /> <br />
