The regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on <br />Wednesday~ April 12, 1967 at 7:30 P.M. in the Mesier Homestead. <br /> <br />Those present: Mayor Furnari~ Tr. DiDomizio~ Tr. A~Napoleon~ Tr. Bain~ <br />Tr. Lawrence~ Tr. D. O. Napoleon~ Tr. Sabia~ and Att. Lyons. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. DiDomizio~ seConded bY Tr. A, Napoleon that the regular <br />order of business be dispensed with. Carried. <br /> <br />Mayor Furnari reported no written requests received by Village Clerk <br />to address Board. <br /> <br />Report on Mrs. DiPolito's comPlaint-Water backing up in cellar on <br />DeLavergne Avenue. <br /> <br />Tr. D. O. Napoleon reported inspectIng~area and storms sewers on both <br />sides of road were covered with debris. <br />He stated~ in his opinion~ this wasn, t a Village problem as this was an <br />unknown source of water flowing underground and not a drainage from <br />Village property. <br /> <br /> Discussion following on possible conditions causing t~!s problem. <br /> Att. Lyons reported Village may have assumed obligation to maintain <br /> ditch located in lot across the street. <br /> It was recommended property owners be contacted to clean out ditch. <br /> Tr. D. 0. Napoleon reported once source of water is discovered~ every <br /> effort will be made to alleviate problem. <br /> Sewer and SanitatIon~Comm. to contact Village Engineer to investigate <br /> this problem further. <br /> <br /> Mr. joseph Burnett addressed the Board stating~ since this was a public <br /> meeting~ tax payers have the right to be heard. <br /> <br /> DiSCUSSion followed on rules and regulations to be followed at regular <br /> Village Board meetings. <br /> <br /> MayOr Furnari reported no one has ever been denied his request to <br /> address the Board. <br /> Mr. Raymond ChaSe Jr.~ rePresenting the S, W. Johnson Engine Co. <br /> addressed the Board. He requested the following items be included in <br /> the Fire Department BUdget for the S, W. Johnson Engine HOuse: <br /> l~ sandblast walls in main area of building. <br /> 2~ New cement floor. <br /> 3. Modernistic l~ghting. <br /> He oUtlined services performed by Volunteer Firemen and inquired what <br /> would be done to include this item. <br /> MayOr Furnari reported PubliC Hearing to be held tomorrow night on the <br /> Budget and recommended deferment till that time on the subject. <br /> Motion by Tr. DiDomizio~ seconded by Tr. D. O. Napoleon that meeting <br /> return to the regular order of business. Carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
