Public Hearing on the tentative Village Budget for the year 1967-68 was held <br />on April 13~ 1967 at ~:30 P.M0 in the ~esler Homestead, <br /> <br />Those present: Mayor Furnari~ Tr. DiDomizlos Tr. A. Napoleons Tr. Bain~ <br />~awrence, Tr. D.Oo Napoleon~ Tr. Sabia and Att. Lyons. <br /> <br />O{hers present: Mr. James Al£onso~ Mr. William Erower~ Mr. Anthony Cinelli~ <br />Raymond Chase Jr.s M~. Donald iynnett~ Mr. Raymond Dolan and Mr, Ira Alsdorf. <br /> <br />Mr. Raymond Chase addressed the Board and proposed the following items be <br />serted in the Fire Department budg. et for the S.W. Johnson Engine House: <br />l. Better lighting facilities. <br />2o Better heating £acilitieso <br />3. Sandblasting brick stones inside main floor° <br />4. Drop ceiling for downstairs. <br />5, Install panelling downstairs. <br /> <br />Discussion followed on condition of floor at the $.Wo Johnson Engine House and <br />possible repairs to same. <br /> <br />Louis Antonelli discussed lack of electrical outlets in the kitchen at the <br />Johnson ~ngine House, <br /> <br />Discussion followed on storeage of the new Ladder truck, when received, at the <br />9/m. T. Garner ~nglne House, as a possible means of saving Village money. <br /> <br />Firemen present discussed equipment needed for the co~ing year, <br /> <br />Fire Ch,if Brower discussed the purchase o£ a radio for the new Ladder truck <br />and requested $4.500, be inserted in budget for equipment. <br />He stated purchase of a radio and hose dryer very important. <br /> <br />Discussion followed on repairs to the S.W. Johnson ~ngine House. <br /> <br />Mr. Achilles Napoleon addressed the Board concerning Water Department budget. <br />He stated commltaents have been made to Fire Underwriters for updating water <br />system and schedule has been outlined. <br />He reported Village will have to decide how money will be raised for updating <br />v~ter system, <br /> <br />Tr, D.O. Napoleon stated Village never intended to expend $200,000. without <br />Federal Aid and reconended proceeding with erection of a water tank, without <br />grant. <br /> <br />Tro Ag Napoleon discussed improvements needed andways to raise funds for up- <br />dating water system. <br />He discussed verbal agreement made with Dutchess Associates in which they agreed <br />to pay one-third the cost of a new water tank and donate the land, <br />He reported water rates would have to be raised i£ money isn't appropriated in <br />budget. <br /> <br /> <br />
