Special meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on March 7~ 1968 <br />at 7:30 P.M. in the Mesier Homestead. <br /> <br />Those present: Acting Mayor Bain, Tr. OiDomizio, Tr. A. Napoleon, Tr. <br />Lawrence, Tr. D.O. Napoleon and Atty. Lyons. <br />Fire Chief Brower and members of both fire companies. <br />Mr. Clinton Carter representing Oren Roanoke Corp. <br /> <br />Att~. Lyons reported Bd. authorized him to contact a representative of the <br />Oren Corp. and he spoke to Dale Spangler~ Vice President. <br /> <br />They discussed the divergencies from contract, principally the rear axle. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported he was told Oren ordered Eden rear axle unit and F6~d <br />Co, made substitution. <br />He stated both have 23,000 lb. rating, strength rating the same and it <br />appears comparable. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported no one knew why Front Wheel Limiting Valves were <br />eliminated but Galloway Ford had been contacted and gave estimate of <br />$60.00 for installation. <br />He reported truck is acceptable if Oren would make $75.00 allowance for <br />limiting valve. <br /> <br />Tr. Lawrence reported contacting an expert on trucks gear ratios and he is <br />convinced truck has 23~000 lb. rear end. <br /> <br />Tr. A. Napoleon inquired as to who recommends acceptance of the truck. <br /> <br />Fire Truck committee reported Ladder Truck meets all specifications~ as to <br />equipment with the exceptions noted and they recommended accepting same. <br />Motion by Tr. DiDomizio, seconded by Tr. D.O. Napoleon that the above <br />report by the Fire Truck Comm. be accepted. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. D.O. Napoleon, seconded by Tr. Lawrence that the Ladder Truck be <br />accepted from Oren Roanoke Corpo~ however acceptance from them is not absolute <br />but is conditioned upon an allowance against the amount due Oren Roanoke <br />Corp. in the sum of $75.OO. Such $75.00 allowance being for installation of <br />front whe~l limiting valve. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. D.O. Napoleon, seconded by Tr. DiDomizio~ that the committee <br />for the Ladder Truck be dissolved. Carried. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons discussed bill received from Mr. Flynn and stated Mr. McGowan <br />reported there was no reason for delaying payment, <br />Motion by Tr. DiDomizio, $~conded by Tr. Lawrence that acting Mayor Bain be <br />authorized to sign an abstract for payment to Flynn Appraisal Services, Inc. <br />in the amount of $1,350.00. Carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. A.
