291 <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Village Board of TrUstees was held on Wednesday, <br />April 10, 1968 at 7:30 P.M. in the Mesier'Homesteado <br /> <br />Those present: Acting Mayor Bain, Tr.'DiDomizio, Tr. A. Napoleon, Tr. Fries, <br />Tr. D.Oo Napoleon, tr. Cheetham and Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Minutes ~f last regular meeting held March 13, 1968. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. DiDo~izio, seconded by Tr. DoO. Napoleon that the minutes of <br />the last regular Village Board meeting be accepted as written ~s each <br />Trustee had previously received a copy of same. Carried. <br /> <br />Action on minutes of the Annual Mtg. held April l, 1968 deferred till next <br />regular meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. D.O. Napoleon, seconded by Tr. DiDomizio that the regular <br />order of business be dispensed with. Carried. <br /> <br />Mr. John 8vans, Planning ~./Bd. Chairman, addressed meeting reporting Village <br />Development Plan has be received in printed form. He reported Planning <br />Bd. has been studying same for the past two years and presented a copy <br />of the plan to each Trustee for study and corrections. <br />Mr. Rvans reported plan must be flexible and workable and outlined the <br />following recommendations of the Planning Bd. <br />a. ~ncourage the diversified growth of the V~llage, while preserving the <br /> single family character of the older Village area. <br />b. To strengthen and restore the Central Business District in the E. Main- <br /> Mill St. area. <br />c. ~ncourage the development of regionally oriented b~siness,' industry and <br /> apartments in the Route g area. <br />d. Take full advantage of the unusual regreation opportunities of the Wapp- <br /> inger s Lake. <br />e. Restore and improve substandard area. <br />f. Plan adequate public facilities. <br /> <br />Mr. £vans displayed revised zoning ordinance reporting seme corrections <br />replaces misinterpretations of the' present zoning ordinance and in'cludes <br />Zonimg Map and schedule. <br />He stated Public presentation of the ordinance would be made on or about <br />May 6, 1968 and after meeting and correction, same has to be incorporated <br />in the revised zoning law. ' <br /> <br />Tro DiDomizio inquired if this document was a revision to present zoning <br />ordo and Mr. Evans replied it was new and implements development plan. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Cheetham, seconded by Tr. D.O. Napoleon that meeting return <br />to regular- order of business. Carried. <br /> <br />Petitions: None <br /> <br />Communications: <br /> <br /> <br />
