The regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees-was held on May 11, 1966 <br />at 7:30 PoN. in the Mesier Homestead, <br /> <br />Those present: Mayor Furnari, Tr. UanVoorhis, Tr. DiDomizio, Tr. Bain, Tr. <br />Lawrence, Tr.Napoleon, Tr. Sabia and MacDonald. <br /> <br />Reading of minute's of last Tegular Village Board meeting held on April 13, 1966 <br />were dispensed with upon a motion by Tr. Napoleon and secondedby Tr. DiDomizio~ <br />as each trustee had previously received a copy of same. Carried. <br />Motion by Tr. DiDomizio, seconded by Tr. Bain that minutes of last regula~ <br />Village Board meeting be accepted as written. Carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. DiDomizio, seconded by Tr. Napoleon that minutes of Annual · meet- <br />ing held on April 4, 1966 be accepted as written, as each trustee had previously <br />received a copy. Carried. <br /> <br />Minutes of special meetings held on April 15, 25~ May 3, ~nd minutes of Public <br />Hearings held on April 15, 1966, Apri% 25, and May 9, were read by Clerk. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Napoleon, seconded by Tr. Sabia that minutes of the above special <br />meetings and Public Hearings be accepted as read. Carried, <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Sabia, seconded by Tr, Napoleon that the regular order of business <br />be dispensed with. Carried. <br /> <br />Mayor Furnari welcomed Mr. Dolan, Mm. Alsdorf, and Miss Valenti, newly appoint- <br />ed members of Park Comm,, to the meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Dolan~ chairman of the Park Comm., addressed the Board seeking their app- <br />roval on the following requests: <br />1. The filling up of a cistern and a well along side the Mesie~ Homestead as <br />a safety precaution. <br />2. The removal of four t tees in front of the Mesier Homestead, to reveal <br />historical beauty of the building, <br />3. Wanted 10 minute parking limit put in effect for cars parking at the Mesier <br />Park. <br /> <br />Discussion followed pro and con on the removal of t~e four trees in front~ <br />of the Mesier Homestead, <br />Tr. Bain inquired about Park Comm. eccepting an~ criticism that,may arise, due <br />to the removal of the t~ees and they agreed they would. <br />To be taken up under the regular order of business. <br /> <br />Mm. Antonelli, chairman of the Recreation Commo, addre4~ed the Board request- <br />ing permission to erect two bathrooms and a store house at the Market St, Play- <br />ground, and asked gutter be repaired by the basketball court, <br />He recommended .Veteran's Pakk property be surveyed, <br />Tr. VanVoorhis felt the erection of the bathrooms a necessity~ due to tourn- <br />aments held, etc. and would be opened only under supervision, <br /> <br />Mayor Furnari read a letter from Mr. Frederic Smith in which he presented, as a <br />gift to the Village, a parcel of land near Veterans Park and the Mayor suggested <br /> a letter of thanks be forwarded Mr. Smith for the gift. <br />Requests to be taken up under regular order of business. <br /> <br /> <br />
