¸85 <br /> <br />Special meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on June 24, 1966 at <br />8:00 PM in the Mesier Homestead. <br /> <br />Those present: Mayor Furnari, Tr. VanVoorhis~ Tr. DiDomizio,Tr. Bain, Tr. <br />Lawrence, Tr. Napoleon and Tr. Sabia. <br /> <br />Mayor Furnari stated meeting called to take action on a request from Mr. Andrew <br />Andrews to rezone a parcel of land on Mill St. from Central Business District <br />to Industrial District. <br /> <br />Mayor Furnari reported request turned over to Planning Bd. for their recomm- <br />endations and it was their opinion not to rezone. <br />He stated Public Hearing held and all persons were heard at that time. <br /> <br />Mr. Aldrich, Attorney for Mr. Andrews, reported he had nothing further to say <br />that wasn't said at the Public Hearing. <br /> <br />Mayor Furnari reported Village Bd. had inspected premises. <br /> <br />Dr. DiMarco stated 9 people present at Public Hearing were agaimst rezoning. <br /> <br />Mr. C~mpilll inquired about of right of way amd Mr. Haubennestel replied it <br />was never a dedicated Village road. <br /> <br />Thefollowing letter wam read from tb~ Planning Bd.: <br />At the Regular monthly meeting of the Planning Board, 3ohn Mitchell made a <br />motion, which was duly seconded by Raymond Marshall~ unanimously carried by <br />roll call vote that: <br />"Upon deliberation and advice from our Consultant amd based on the develop- <br />ment of the Master Plan now in progress for the Village of Wappingers Falls, <br />the Planning Board does~not recommend a changec~of Zoning from Central Bus- <br />iness District to Industrial District for the parcel of land on Mill Street, <br />the Andrew~Andrews property, formerly known as Sweet Orr. This is in accord- <br />a~ce with Article 1, Section 37-1 of the Zoning Ordinance adopted by the <br />Village of Wappingers Falls." <br /> <br />Att. Aldrich stated he felt motion in above letter not?proper, as Mr. Marshall <br />seconded same. <br /> <br />Tr. DiDomizio stated that eabinet firm should have petitioned room at Ind. <br />ustrial Park and due to parking problem and hazardous condition of build- <br />ings, he was against rezoning. <br />Ail other mesbers of Board reported feeling the same as Tr. DiDomizio. <br /> <br />Mption by Tr. DiDomizio, seconded by Tr. Sabia that a request by Mr. Andrew <br />Andrews to rem ne a parcel of land on Mill St. from Central Business District <br />~to Industrial District be denie~. <br /> Roll Call Vote: Tr. D~Domizio (favor). Tr. Sabia (favor), Tr. Lawrence <br /> (favor, Tr. VanVoorhis(favor), Tr. Bain (favor), Tr. Napoleon (favor). <br />Motion unanimously carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
