Special Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Sept~ 28~ <br />196~, at 7:30~P.M.~ in the Mesier. Homestead <br />Waiver of necessary notic~ for a special meeting covering this session <br />of the Board of Trustees be noted on the minutes by a yes vote of <br />those present and so disposed. <br /> <br />Roll Call: Present- Mayor Furnari~ Tr. VanVoorhis~ Tr. Temple~ Tr. Bain. <br />Tr. Napoleon,~ Tr. DiDomizio~ Attorney Pearse and Attorney Lyons. <br />Tr. Cheetham was absenT. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Temple and seconded by Tr. Bain that a special meeting be <br />conducted. Carried. <br /> <br />First part to be open meeting; second part to be a closed meeting. <br /> <br />Purpose of the meeting to try to find a solution to the lake problem. <br /> <br />Mayor Furnari reported he discussed the lake situation when he visited <br />Washington. <br />He had several interviews with ~fr. Kayner and reported a possible sol- <br />ution can be had. Mayor Furnari reported Mr. Kayner is willing to sell <br />lake. 'He contacted Mr. Dyer of the Land Acquistion Agency and inquired <br />about the purchase of the lake by Dutchess County, Under the Land & <br />Park Act~ N.Y.S. would furnish seventy five per cent of the funds for <br />this purchase. Supervisor Mahar to discuss the acquistion at the n~xt <br />meeting of the Board of Supervisors. Mayor Furnari distributed copies <br />of a proposed resolution for action. Mr. Kayner set $1OO~OO© as price <br />for the Lake. Seventy five per cent of the cost would be provided by <br />the State and Dutchess County would take over the rights to the lake. <br />Discussion followed on resolution. ~ <br /> <br />~ttorney ?earse had no comments on restrictions until consultations <br />have taken pSace. <br /> <br />Questions arose on Mr. Kayner's water rights and discussion followed on <br />these problems. <br /> <br />Tr. DiDomizio recommeuded holding up on resolution until Mr. Kayner is <br />aware that he will have'no access to commercial water. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. DiDomizio and seconded by Tr. Temple that action on res- <br />olution be tabled until Wednesday night. Ca~ried. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Bain and seconded by Tr. VanVoorhis that meeting be ~d- <br />journed. Carried. <br /> <br />Metting of Department heads called to::~order for the purpose of discussing <br />problems in the various departments. <br /> <br />Report from Highway Comm.- Tr. Temple and Tr. DiDo~izio <br /> <br />Bids on curbs and sidewalks from ~. Fredericks were read. Tr. DiDomizio <br />reported bid was for curbs only~ but in some areas~ curbs and gutters <br />are one piece. <br /> <br /> <br />
