A Special Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held en Feb. <br />17, 1965, at 7:00 P.M. in the Mesier Homestead. <br /> <br />Those present: Mayor Furnari, Tr. VanVogrhis, Tr. DiDomizio, Tr. <br />Bain, Tr. Napoleon, Tr. Cheetham, Att. Pearse , Mr. Ackerman and <br />Mr. Hayward. Tr. Temple absent. <br /> <br />Purpose ~of the meeting to discuss the proposed fourth well. <br /> <br />Mr, ~ayward discussed well and showed maps of same. Hr reported <br />8" p~pe would go through or by-pass softner. He discussed enlarge- <br />merits to the water meter and adjustments to the pump house. Mr. <br />Hayward discussed altitude valve for water tank on DeLavergne Ave. <br />and its features. Valve would cost approxim-tel¥ $5,000 installed~ <br />and with this device both the tank on DeLavergne Ave. and the ones <br />on Hillside Ave. could be filled to capacity. ~Discussion followed <br />on the size of the pipe to the tanks. <br /> <br />Mr. Fries reported he was in agreement With the Engineer as to <br />altitude valves and a new water line running f~om p~mp to West <br />m~in St. Estimated cost of well would rUn between $40,000 and <br />$60,000. BidsHmust be Put out within 30 days after resolution is <br />adopted. Mr. ayward reported water line running to West Main St. <br />would cost approximately $7,000. Mr. Hayward discussed bid for a <br />well based on the complete Job. <br /> <br />Tr. Cheetham inquired about unit price and Mr. Hayward discussed the <br />different phases of the bid for the fourth well. <br /> <br />Discussion followed on the specifications for a fourth well. Mr. <br />Hayward reported well wouldr~t be guaranteed for more than <br />gals. of water per minute. <br /> <br />Tr. Napoleon asked that bond issue indebtedness be incurred to <br />Water Dept. and not Village. Discussion followed on the bond issue. <br /> <br />Discussion followed on a clerk of the Works for the well and Mr. ~.. <br />Hayward reported this was up to Contractor.. Tr. DiDomizio inquired <br />about present wells ever failing and Mr. Fries replied no, but poor <br />condition existed last summer. Village will wait 30 days for Per- <br />missive Referendum. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Bain and seconded by Tr. Vanvoorhis that the Village <br />proceed with publication, for bid purposes, for a fourth well. Carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Ackerman discussed the Liss Rd. Sewer ProJec$, including Adams <br />St. and Mill St., concerning laterals and the amount of work left on <br />project. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Bain and seconded by T .
