Special Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on May 19, 1965 at 7:00 P.M. in the Mesier Homestead. Those present: MaYor FUrnari, Tr. DiDgmizio, Tr. Temple, Tr. Bain~ Tr. Napoleon~ Att. Pearse and Att. Lyons. Tr. Cheetham absent. At the call of the Mayor of The Village the meeting came to order and on a motion of Tr. Napoleon, seconded by Tr. Bain, it was unanimously RESOLVED: ~ That each wou~d by poll waive special notice of the call for ~ special meeting. It was thereupon moved by Tr. Napoleon and duly seconded by Tr. Temple that it be RESOLVED: That, pursuant to paragraph (2) of subdivision (b) of sect- ion 2 of Article 1X of the Constitution, the Village of Wappingers Falls requests the enactment of legislation by the Legislature of the State of New york as set forth in Senate bill (Print No. 5595. Intro. No. $566) and Assembly bill (Print No. 6985, Intro. No. 60~1) entitled: "AN ACT to legalize~ validate~ ratify and confirm the acts of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Wappingers Falls, Dutchess County, in relation to the adoption of a comprehensive zoning ord- inance in and f6r such Village." The foregoing resolution, being put to vote on roll call~ was carried as follOWs, each present voted in favor oft none against, the res- olution. Other business then was taken up as follows: The following Resolution was read: WHERE~S it is the intention of the Village Board of Trustees of the Village of Wappingers Falls to establish a Recreatioh Project and %~HEREAS the Village of Wappingers?Fall~is about to submit an app- lication for such a project to the New York State Youth Commission for its approval~ and if approved~ to apply subsequently to the State of New York for partial reimbursement of funds expended on said project, as provided by Chapter 5~6 of the Laws of 19~5~ as amended$~now, thebefore, be it RESOLVED~ that such application is in all respects approved and Peter C. Furnari, Mayor, is hereby directed and authorized to duly execute and to present said application to the New York State Youth Com~fssion for its approval. Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately. Motion by Tr. VanVoorhis and seconded by Tr. Bain that the above resolution be adopted. Carried.
