Special Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on May 19, <br />1965 at 7:00 P.M. in the Mesier Homestead. <br /> <br />Those present: MaYor FUrnari, Tr. DiDgmizio, Tr. Temple, Tr. Bain~ <br />Tr. Napoleon~ Att. Pearse and Att. Lyons. Tr. Cheetham absent. <br /> <br />At the call of the Mayor of The Village the meeting came to order <br />and on a motion of Tr. Napoleon, seconded by Tr. Bain, it was <br />unanimously <br />RESOLVED: ~ <br /> That each wou~d by poll waive special notice of the call for ~ <br />special meeting. <br /> <br />It was thereupon moved by Tr. Napoleon and duly seconded by Tr. Temple <br />that it be <br />RESOLVED: <br /> That, pursuant to paragraph (2) of subdivision (b) of sect- <br />ion 2 of Article 1X of the Constitution, the Village of Wappingers <br />Falls requests the enactment of legislation by the Legislature of <br />the State of New york as set forth in Senate bill (Print No. 5595. <br />Intro. No. $566) and Assembly bill (Print No. 6985, Intro. No. 60~1) <br />entitled: <br /> <br />"AN ACT to legalize~ validate~ ratify and confirm the acts of the <br />Board of Trustees of the Village of Wappingers Falls, Dutchess <br />County, in relation to the adoption of a comprehensive zoning ord- <br />inance in and f6r such Village." <br /> <br />The foregoing resolution, being put to vote on roll call~ was carried <br />as follOWs, each present voted in favor oft none against, the res- <br />olution. <br /> <br />Other business then was taken up as follows: <br /> <br />The following Resolution was read: <br />WHERE~S it is the intention of the Village Board of Trustees of the <br />Village of Wappingers Falls to establish a Recreatioh Project and <br />%~HEREAS the Village of Wappingers?Fall~is about to submit an app- <br />lication for such a project to the New York State Youth Commission <br />for its approval~ and if approved~ to apply subsequently to the <br />State of New York for partial reimbursement of funds expended on <br />said project, as provided by Chapter 5~6 of the Laws of 19~5~ as <br />amended$~now, thebefore, be it <br />RESOLVED~ that such application is in all respects approved and <br />Peter C. Furnari, Mayor, is hereby directed and authorized to duly <br />execute and to present said application to the New York State Youth <br />Com~fssion for its approval. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. VanVoorhis and seconded by Tr. Bain that the above <br />resolution be adopted. Carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
