The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Mesier ~6S <br />'Homestead on Tuesday,March 1,1960 at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Present- Mayor McCloskey, ~ustee G~llucci, Silvestri, Sanfilippo <br />Canale, Treas. McDonald, Prof. PearSe for Atty. Schofleld <br /> <br />Absent- Trustee Reilly and Berinato. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order and the minutes of the last regular <br />and continued meetings were read. Motion by Trustee Gallucci seconded <br /> by Trustee Silvestri that the min.utes be accepted as read. Carried. <br /> Com~. <br /> # ~902 Report on Village Grievence Day was read, accepted, and ordered <br /> filed. <br /> #~903 Letter from Grinnell Public Library, was ordered filed <br /> until the BudJet meeting. <br />#~90~ Letter from the P.A.L, requesting permission to use the <br /> Bleachery Field from April 1,1960 to September 1~1960 on <br /> motion of-Trustee Galluc~i~ seconded by TrusteeOilvestrl <br /> was granted. But they were to be notified that they could <br /> not errect any fence on the field. <br /> #~905 Letter on State Contract on Lumber and Building Materials <br /> was ordered filed for ~ future use. <br /> #W906Pollce Justice report for the Month of Feb1960, for the <br /> sum of $163.00 on Motion of Trustee Sanfilippo seconded <br /> by Trustee Gallucci was accepted as read. carried. <br /> <br />Comm. <br /> Highway- Chairman told board that the Blacktop Plants <br /> were opening on April 1,1960, so that with good weather <br /> he hoped to get the highway work started. He also talked <br /> about the possibilty of the Village getting a R~ller <br /> Fire Comm.- Progress. <br /> Electric Light- Progress <br /> Sewer & Sanitation- Progress <br /> Ord. Absent. <br /> <br />Misc. Comm.- Chairman to see to Plague for retiring Trustee <br />Fred. Berinato. <br /> <br />Unfinished Bus. None <br /> <br />New Business- T~ustee Silvestri , on behalf of the union <br />in plant in old Bleachery buildings was granted permission <br /> to use the Johnson Fire House for one meeting. <br /> <br /> Motion by Trustee Silvestrl seconded by Trustee Gallucci <br />that all bills audited be payed, carried. <br /> <br /> Treas. McDonal~ aske~ if the ~m~$im employees, Mayor , and <br /> trustees that are now being paid by voucher throw the meetings, <br /> go on our monthly payroll. On motion of Trustee Sanfilippo <br />seconded by Trustee Stlvestri the employees, Mayor, and <br />trustees as of March 1,1960 would be paid on the payroll system. <br /> carried. <br /> <br /> Prof. Pearse told the B~ard that it was the opinion of <br /> Atty Schofield, that the Village should have full approval <br /> of the donors before di~posing of the Amblancese. <br /> <br /> <br />
