The annual meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Mesler ~73 Homestead on Monday April ~, 1960 at 7 P.M. Those presSnt- Mayor McCloskey, Trustee Reilly, Galluc~i, Silvestri, Temple~ Sanfilippo, Canale, Treas. McDonald, Clerk Weit . Meeting was called to order~ Mayor McCloskey announced the object of the meeting was for the purpose of making the annual appointments and anYcOther business that should come before this meeting. lerk Weit, announced that the officers elected at the previous election h~ have been duly sworn in and filed their affidavit in compliance with section 59 of the Village law. Motion by Trustee Temple~ seconded by Trustee Sanfilippo that the naming of the Village Official paper be tabled to the next meeting, carried. Motion by Trustee Gallucci, seconded by Trusfee Reilly , the regular meeting night be the first Tuesday of each month and the time 7:30 P.M. carried. Motion by Trustee Silvestri~ seconded By Trustee Gallucci the Village adopt day-light saving plan if the county adopts the same. ~.carried. Motion by Trustee Temple seconded by Trustee Canale The National Bank of Poughkeepsie, Wappingers Branch, be adopted as depository of Village funds, carried. Motion by Trustee Silvestri, seconded by Trustee Canale the compensa- tion for inspectors of election be same as last year. carried. Motion by Trustee Temple seconded by Trustee Silvestri that~the Highway Foreman receive an hourly rate of $2.50 an increase of fifteen cents, and that the laborers receive an hourly rate of $1.95 an increase of ten cents, carried. ~ MOtion by Trustee Temple, seconded by Trustee Sanftlippo that the Police Clerk receive an increase of $5 per week making the weekly salary $80.00 carried, all voting for Mayor against. Motion by Trustee Temple seconded by Trustee Silvestri that the regula~ police receive an increase in salary as follows. Costa, $58~O annualy, Dlberto 5600. annualy, carried. Motion by Trustee Reilly, seconded by T~ustee Silvestri that the regular policeman~ ~obbins, Ben edetto~ Garnot receive an increase in salary to $5250 annu~ly, carried. Motion by Trustee Canale, seconded by Trustee Sanfilippo that the Police rank would be raised as proposed in the Mayors three year plan. as follows-?osta, Capt. Diberto Liet. Robbins Sgt. Benedetto and Garnot Ptl. carried. Motion by'Trustee Gallucci, seconded by Trustee Canale that the sal'ary of the Multiple Dwelling Officer, and Fire Inspector be placed at $50.00 per year. carried. Motion by Trustee Temple, seconded by Trustee Reilly that the Village assessor salary be placed a $500.00 an increase of ~50.00 per year. Carried. Motion by Trustee Canale, seconded by Trustee Gallucci that all other salaries and wages not increased remain the same as last year. and that all increases in salary and wages this year be payable on June 1,1960. carried. Motion by Trustee Canale, seconded by Trustee Sanfilipp° to make John berinato, Supt. of Public ~orks at a salary of $110.O0 per Wk., and appoint ~obert Temple Jr. as ~oreman. carried.
