The annual meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Mesler ~73 <br />Homestead on Monday April ~, 1960 at 7 P.M. <br /> <br /> Those presSnt- Mayor McCloskey, Trustee Reilly, Galluc~i, Silvestri, <br />Temple~ Sanfilippo, Canale, Treas. McDonald, Clerk Weit . <br /> <br /> Meeting was called to order~ Mayor McCloskey announced the object <br />of the meeting was for the purpose of making the annual appointments and <br />anYcOther business that should come before this meeting. <br /> lerk Weit, announced that the officers elected at the previous election h~ <br />have been duly sworn in and filed their affidavit in compliance with section <br />59 of the Village law. <br /> Motion by Trustee Temple~ seconded by Trustee Sanfilippo that the <br />naming of the Village Official paper be tabled to the next meeting, carried. <br /> <br /> Motion by Trustee Gallucci, seconded by Trusfee Reilly , the regular <br />meeting night be the first Tuesday of each month and the time 7:30 P.M. <br />carried. <br /> Motion by Trustee Silvestri~ seconded By Trustee Gallucci the Village <br />adopt day-light saving plan if the county adopts the same. ~.carried. <br /> Motion by Trustee Temple seconded by Trustee Canale The National Bank <br />of Poughkeepsie, Wappingers Branch, be adopted as depository of Village <br /> funds, carried. <br /> Motion by Trustee Silvestri, seconded by Trustee Canale the compensa- <br />tion for inspectors of election be same as last year. carried. <br /> <br /> Motion by Trustee Temple seconded by Trustee Silvestri that~the <br />Highway Foreman receive an hourly rate of $2.50 an increase of fifteen <br />cents, and that the laborers receive an hourly rate of $1.95 an increase <br /> of ten cents, carried. ~ <br /> MOtion by Trustee Temple, seconded by Trustee Sanftlippo that the <br />Police Clerk receive an increase of $5 per week making the weekly salary <br />$80.00 carried, all voting for Mayor against. <br /> Motion by Trustee Temple seconded by Trustee Silvestri that the regula~ <br />police receive an increase in salary as follows. Costa, $58~O annualy, <br />Dlberto 5600. annualy, carried. <br /> Motion by Trustee Reilly, seconded by T~ustee Silvestri that the <br />regular policeman~ ~obbins, Ben edetto~ Garnot receive an increase in <br />salary to $5250 annu~ly, carried. <br /> Motion by Trustee Canale, seconded by Trustee Sanfilippo that the <br />Police rank would be raised as proposed in the Mayors three year plan. <br />as follows-?osta, Capt. Benedetto and Garnot <br />Ptl. carried. <br /> <br /> Motion by'Trustee Gallucci, seconded by Trustee Canale that the <br /> sal'ary of the Multiple Dwelling Officer, and Fire Inspector be placed <br /> at $50.00 per year. carried. ' ' · <br /> <br /> Motion by Trustee Sanfilippo~ seconded By Trustee Temple that <br /> the salary of the Village Treasurer remain the same as last year. carried. <br /> Motip$ by Trustee Canale, seconded by Trustee Gallucct that the <br /> salary of ~he Village Clerk remain the same as last year. carried. <br /> Motion by Trustee Temple, seconded by Trustee Reilly that the Village <br /> assessor salary be placed a $500.00 an increase of ~50.00 per year. <br /> Carried. <br /> Motion by Trustee Canale, seconded by Trustee Gallucci that all <br /> other salaries and wages not increased remain the same as last year. <br /> and that all increases in salary and wages this year be payable on June <br />1,1960. carried. <br /> Motion by Trustee Canale, seconded by Trustee Sanfilipp° to <br />make John berinato, Supt. of Public ~orks at a salary of $110.O0 per Wk., <br /> and appoint ~obert Temple Jr. as ~oreman. carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
