The regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held <br />at the Mesier Homestead on Tuesday May 3,1960 at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br /> Present-Mayor McCloskey, Trustees Reilly, Gallucci, Silvestri <br /> Temple, Canale, Treas. McDonald, Prof. Pearse for Atty. Schofield. <br /> Absent- Trustee Sanfilipo <br /> The meeting was called to order and the minutes of the last regular, <br /> Special, and Annual meetings were read. Motion by Truatee Gallucci, <br /> seconded by Trustee Silvestrl that the minutes be accepted as read <br /> was carried. <br /> Motion by Trustee Galucci, seconded by Trustee Silvestri to dispence <br /> with the regular order of business was carrY_ed. <br /> <br /> Mr. ~gar I. Fldersheim, of the Edgar I Fldersheim &bo., asked if <br />he could demenstrate his product for cleaning parking-meters. This <br />was refered to Lt. Costa of the Police Dept., and he was to report <br /> the results of the demenstratton to the Board. <br /> Mr, Tom Andrews of the Fleet Cadets, asked if they could use <br /> a~.room in the Mester Homestead for Drum corp. pratie~ . Motion by <br /> T ustee Reilly, seconded by Trustee Galluc~i, the Drum Corp. was <br /> g~anted permission for Wed. nights from 7P.M. to 9 P.M., carried. <br /> <br /> Mr. John Paolilli, Veterans Place, asked the board , what was <br />going to be done to replace his yard , after the sewer ext. project. <br />This matter was turned over to Trustee Silvestri and Temple with <br /> the Eng., they were to report back the results at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Trustee Gallucci, seconded by Trustee Canale ~at the <br />Village Tax Notice, be placed for publication in the Newburgh- <br />Beacon News. carried. <br /> <br />Motion~by Trustee Canale, seconded by Trustee Temple that the Treas. <br /> be told to place on the Village tax roll the unpaid Water rents for <br />the sum of $2297.31. carried. <br /> Motion by Trustee Gallucci, seconded by Trustee Silvestri, for <br /> the clerk to send a tax warrant to the Village Treasurer, to <br /> receive and collect, from persons in the Tax roll, the sums <br /> state~ opposite their name being a total of $121,905.8~, for <br /> the following purposes; Current Budget- $119,608.53 and relevied <br /> Water Rents $2297.31 carried.~ <br /> The Mayor then told the board that the Village Tax rate would <br /> R~t~ be the same as last year $30 per 1000 assesed valuation. <br /> <br />Returne to regular order of Business <br /> <br /> The Eng. was asked about the grade falling away at the new disposal <br />plant. It was advised by the eng. to plant trees, to hold the grade. <br /> Trustee Temple to look into this matter and report back to the Board. <br /> <br />#~91~ Letter f~om The State Dept of Health , on gr~nt on ~lsposal <br /> plant was ordered filed. <br />#$913 List of Officers for 1960-61 for Garner Eng. Co. on Motion <br /> of Trustee Gallucci, seconded by Trustee Silvestri were approved. <br /> carried. <br />#W91~ Letter from Sloper-Willen Ambulance Service, on motion by Trustee <br /> Temple seconded by Trustee Gallucci~ was ordered tabled, carried. <br />#g915 James Fredricks , letter on sidewalk . to Highway Comm. <br />#g916 D.
