The regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held at the Mesier Homestead on Tuesday May 3,1960 at 7:30 P.M. Present-Mayor McCloskey, Trustees Reilly, Gallucci, Silvestri Temple, Canale, Treas. McDonald, Prof. Pearse for Atty. Schofield. Absent- Trustee Sanfilipo The meeting was called to order and the minutes of the last regular, Special, and Annual meetings were read. Motion by Truatee Gallucci, seconded by Trustee Silvestrl that the minutes be accepted as read was carried. Motion by Trustee Galucci, seconded by Trustee Silvestri to dispence with the regular order of business was carrY_ed. Mr. ~gar I. Fldersheim, of the Edgar I Fldersheim &bo., asked if he could demenstrate his product for cleaning parking-meters. This was refered to Lt. Costa of the Police Dept., and he was to report the results of the demenstratton to the Board. Mr, Tom Andrews of the Fleet Cadets, asked if they could use a~.room in the Mester Homestead for Drum corp. pratie~ . Motion by T ustee Reilly, seconded by Trustee Galluc~i, the Drum Corp. was g~anted permission for Wed. nights from 7P.M. to 9 P.M., carried. Mr. John Paolilli, Veterans Place, asked the board , what was going to be done to replace his yard , after the sewer ext. project. This matter was turned over to Trustee Silvestri and Temple with the Eng., they were to report back the results at the next meeting. Motion by Trustee Gallucci, seconded by Trustee Canale ~at the Village Tax Notice, be placed for publication in the Newburgh- Beacon News. carried. Motion~by Trustee Canale, seconded by Trustee Temple that the Treas. be told to place on the Village tax roll the unpaid Water rents for the sum of $2297.31. carried. Motion by Trustee Gallucci, seconded by Trustee Silvestri, for the clerk to send a tax warrant to the Village Treasurer, to receive and collect, from persons in the Tax roll, the sums state~ opposite their name being a total of $121,905.8~, for the following purposes; Current Budget- $119,608.53 and relevied Water Rents $2297.31 carried.~ The Mayor then told the board that the Village Tax rate would R~t~ be the same as last year $30 per 1000 assesed valuation. Returne to regular order of Business The Eng. was asked about the grade falling away at the new disposal plant. It was advised by the eng. to plant trees, to hold the grade. Trustee Temple to look into this matter and report back to the Board. #~91~ Letter f~om The State Dept of Health , on gr~nt on ~lsposal plant was ordered filed. #$913 List of Officers for 1960-61 for Garner Eng.
