The regular meeting of the ~illage Board was held at the Mesier Homestea~9~ <br />on Xuesday July 5, 1960 at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br /> Those present: Mayor McCloskey, Trustee's Reilly, Gallucci. Silvestri <br />Temple, Sanfilipp% Canale, Treas. McDonald, Prof. Pearse for Atty. Schofield. <br /> <br /> The meeting was called to order and the minutes of the last regular <br />and special meetings were read. Motion by Trustee ~eilly, seconded by Trustee <br />Gallucci, that the minutes be accepted as read was carried. <br /> <br /> Comm: <br /> Letter from New York Central System, on the mountain View Coach <br /> lines running busses through our Village, and to Notify them. if we <br /> were .to have a hearing on this matter. This was tabled until such a <br /> time ,that t~e Mountain Veiw bus ~o. request the right to run busses <br /> through the Village. <br /> Letter from Mr. Robert ~. Smith, Mesier Ave., on sidewalk <br /> condition was turned over to Highway ~omm. Letter ordered filed. <br /> Letter returned to Mayor from Mr. Kanor, on cutting grass <br /> ~h <br /> on property on Market St.$s it was not his property, is letter <br /> was ordered tabled for the present time. <br /> Letter from the Water Pollution ~ontrol Board, giving approval <br /> on Extra ork orders on disposal plant, was ordered filed <br /> Letter from Mrs. N. McNeil , Mill Street,BE asking permis~ion <br /> to break curbing in front of house, was turned over to Highway ~omm. <br /> letter was ordered filed. <br /> Letter from John ~iMarco, Park Otreetz on sidewalk condition <br /> at side of house, was turned over to Highway ~omm., letter was ordered <br /> filed. <br /> Letter from C. Fasciani, ~lapp ~ve. on side walk condition W <br /> in front of home, was turned over to Highway ~omm., letter was ordered <br /> filed. <br /> - Letter from Schuerman and ~cker~an, on an additional payment <br /> due to Mid County ?onstruction Co. The ~lerk to check this to see <br /> that such payment was not made. Amount due ,~627.90. ~lerk to report <br /> back at next regular meeting. <br /> Police Justice-report for the monthof June 1960 for the <br /> sum of$3~7.09 , on Motion of Trustee Silvestrt, seconded by Trustee <br /> Sanfilippo was accepted as read. carried. <br /> <br />Comm. Reports: <br /> H~ghway- The chairman reported progress on sidewalk repair, and <br />also on black-topping of ditches ,etc. The Chairman then asked the <br />Board, not to give Jobs to any of the Highway ~ept. men without <br />him knowing about it~ as he felt as Chairman he wanted to know <br />where the men under his Juristrition were working. The M~yor told <br />the Chairman of a Water condition in culvert on ~inless .errace, <br />Chairman and Supt. Berlnato to look into this matter. <br />Chairman gave Specs. for Oiling and chipping of 9tre~s to the <br />~lerk, after reading same~ on Motion of Trustee Silvestri, <br /> Sanfilf the c~erk was ordered to <br />seconde~ by Trustee ppo, <br />advertise for bids , in Th~ Newburgh Beacon News, The Poughkeepsie <br />New Yorker, and the Wappingers Dutchess Shopper. carried. <br />The Chairman was asked to prepai~ °pecs. for a Roller. <br /> Elec. Light.- Progress <br /> Fire Dept. Progress <br /> Ord. Dept. The Chairman and ~illage ~tty, to cSeck in and <br /> find out if all signs in Village are covered by a illageOrd. <br /> and those that do not have ord. to draw same to make such signs <br /> legal. <br /> Sewer & Sant. progress. · <br /> Misc.
