The regular meeting of the Village Board was held at the Mesier <br />Homestead on Tuesday August 2, 1960 at ~7:30 P.M. <br /> <br /> Those present- Mayor McCloskey, Trustees Reilly, Gallucci, Temple, <br />Sanfilippo, Canale, Treas. Mcdonald, Prof. Pearse for atty. Schofield. <br /> <br />absent- ~rustee Sitvestri. <br /> <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mc~loskey, and the minutes <br />of the last regular and special meetings wmre read~ on motion of Trustee <br />Gallucci, seconded by Trustee Sanfilippo, the minutes of the meetings <br />were accepted as read. carried. <br /> A motion by Trustee Sanfiltppo~ seconded by Zrustee Gallucci~ <br />to dispense with the regular order of business was carried. <br /> <br /> Mr. ~onte, of Central ~udson Gas & Electric Co., talked on <br />lighting program for Village, to eliminate the dark spots,and <br />give the Village better lighting On all the streets. He showed the <br />Board a map~. of the new l~ghting plan. After some discussion~ and <br />question by the board members ~ on Motion of Trustee Beilly~ <br />seconded by Trustee Sanfilippo, that the contract for light <br />improvement in the Village at the cost of <br /> <br /> Members of the Park Commission, cOnsistin~ of Mr~ Frank Roberts~ <br />Mrs. Regina 0 Rourke, Miss Edith Valenti, Mr. dward Craft. Mr. Fran~ <br />Roberts, Chairman ~ was ~spokesman for the group. They asked the Board <br />the following questions, Who was res~onseible for the Psrk, and the <br />Homestead? After some discussion, they were informed by the board <br />that it was the responcibility of the Park Comm. Mr. Roberts then <br />informed the Board that t~e Park Comm. felt that the Park and Home- <br />stead should be a place of bueaty in the Village as it was in the <br />past. He said that he hopped in the future that it would not have <br />to be used as a ~illage Hall . He asked the Boards opinion on a <br />no parking ordinance in the park. This matter was tabled until <br />the Board returned to regular order of business. <br /> <br />Mr. Deeb, came before the Ooard again to find out if <br />the V~llage Atty. ~ad found out anything on the property on <br /> Clinton street next to his house. The ~tty advised the board <br />thstDhhey could do nothing on clemr~ng the property, or giving <br />Mr. eeb0ermission to do same. Mr. Uerinato was told to have <br />the Street Dept. to cut the grass as far back as the property <br /> line. <br /> <br />Return to regular order of business. <br /> <br /> Letter from ~urtis & Warren Atty. for a Bus line <br />wanting to come thru ~lllage on ~te 9., asking about franchises <br />in the ~illage. Clerk and Atty'to take care of this matter. <br /> Letter from Schuerman & ~ckerman, Eng., on request of <br /> Mc loskeys, on breakdown of cost for laterals on sewer <br /> Mayor C <br /> Ext. Job.
