230 <br /> <br /> The annual ~eeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Mesier <br /> Homestead on Monday April 3,1961 , at ? P.M. <br /> <br /> Those present; Mayor McCloskey, Trustee's'Reilly, Van Voorhis, <br /> Si!vestri~ Temple, Fitzpatrick, Canale. <br /> <br /> Meeting was called to order by Mayor McCloskey, who announced <br /> the object of the meeting was for the purpose of making the annual <br /> appointments and any other business that should come before the meeting. <br /> <br /> Clerk Weir announced that the officers elected at the previous <br />election have been duly sworn in and filed their affidavit in compliance <br />with section 59 of the Village Law. <br /> <br /> Mayor McCloskey announced that he hoped the members of the board <br /> of trustees will co-operate and work for the interest of the taxpayers <br /> and forget party affiliations as to go along in harmony. <br /> <br /> Motion by Trustee Silvestri and seconded by Trustee Fitzpatrick <br />that the Wapp. Dutchess and Southern News , be adopted as the official <br />paper for Village notices, also that the Beacon News or the Poughkeesie <br />New Yorker are to b~ used, in case the notice must be. in the paper <br />between printing of the Wappingers paper, carried. <br /> Motion by Trustee Silvestri, seconded by Trustee VanVoorhis, the <br /> regular meeting night be the first Tuesday of each month and the time be <br /> ?:30 P.M. carried. <br /> Motion by Trustee Canale, seconded by Trustee Temple the Village <br />adopt day-light saving plan if the county adopts the same. carried. <br /> Motion by Trustee Temple, seconded by Trustee Canale.that the First <br /> National Bankof Poughkeepsie, Wapp. Branch., be adopted ~s depository <br /> of Village funds, carried. <br /> Motion by Trustee Temple, seconded by Trustee Canale, the compensat- <br /> ion for inspectors of election be same as last year. carried. <br /> <br /> Motion by Trustee Temple, seconded by Trustee Fitzpatrick, that the <br />Highway, eorkingforeman, laborer, and Temp. Laborer, salary remain the <br />same. carried. <br /> Motion by Trustee Canale, seconded by Trustee Silvestri, That the <br /> salary plan of last year be carried on; and that rtl.
