The regplar meeting of the Village Board was held on June 6,1961
<br />at 7:30 P.M, at.the Mesier HOmestead,
<br /> Those p~esent, Ma~or McCloskey. TruStees, R$illy, VanV°orhis
<br />Stlvestri, Temple, itzpatrick, Canale, also teas. McDonald and
<br /> Atty. Schofield.
<br /> The minutes of the last regular ,continued, and Spec meetings
<br />were read, and on motion of Trustee Reilly, seconded by Trustee
<br />~emple the minutes were accepted as read and carried.
<br /> A motion by Trustee Canale, seconded by Trustee Silvestrito dispence
<br />with the regular order of Business was carried.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Gulianio, of Maple Shades Delv., on South Ave. lllage,
<br />asked t~e Board if any progress had been made on the foden situation
<br />at the~ illage dump. He was told that the board had been goring
<br />prices on treatments to do away or ~control the problem, and that the
<br />board hoped to have the information on this at the next meeting.
<br />He then asked the board about progress on the incinerator, and was
<br />told that the Supt. of Public Works, had written letters to some
<br />Companys, and was waiting for replys.
<br /> Assessor Greco, spoEe to the board, on the complaints , that
<br />tax payers had made to Trustees, on their taxes being raised and
<br />that they had not been notifyed by the ~ssessor. He told the board that
<br /> the State law states that there does not have to be any ~ritten
<br />notice given. The tax roll when completed is put on public display
<br /> for the tax payer to check, this time is put in the papers and also
<br />notices are placed around the Village. He also ststed that he felt
<br /> he was fair, and ¥ easy on his taxing in the 'tllage~ and felt
<br />that the Village Board should stand behind him. The MAyor and the Trustee
<br />told Mr Greco, that he was doing a very good Job , and that they were
<br />all behind him. The Mayor then stated that the BOard and the assessor
<br />should get together in the near future, to make adjustments, to fix the
<br />tax roll.
<br /> Mr. DuLuccia, on the sewer and water contract for his project
<br /> ~n Middlebush Rd. He said that he had seen the Village Water
<br /> oard and had a verbal agreement wtth t~em on the Water a and hoped
<br /> he could get some sort of an agreement with the Village ~Oard on
<br /> the sewwr service. Trustee Canale, stated that he felt before
<br /> sewer could be given, a price arrangement would have to be reached.
<br /> he also sa~d that he felt that this should be done at a special
<br /> meeting, The Mayor and the rest of the oard felt the same on this
<br /> matter. The Mayor then called for a Spec meeting to.be held
<br /> on Wed. June 1~, 1961 at 8 P.M. at the Mesier Homesteae.
<br /> Mr. & Mrs Pucino, were at t~he meeting to discuss the charge
<br /> to them on the sewer latterat to their property. It was decided to
<br /> hold this~over to June 1~,1961 at 7:30 P.M. and have the Contractor
<br /> and others present, so that this matter could be taking care oz.

<br />A motion by Trustee Silvestri, seconded by Trustee Canale, to return
<br />to the regular order of business was carried.
<br />
<br /> Comm.
<br /> A letter from the Mayors Conference, on new law on
<br />appointments to the Police force. This letter was turned over
<br />to the Atty., to draw up an ordinance,for the Village on this matter.
<br /> A letter from Mr. Griswald, of Pleasand Lane , on the
<br /> request of Mr. Dulucia, to extend the sewer and water, was ordered
<br /> filed.
<br /> Letter from Mr. Robinson, of the Wappingers School Board,
<br /> on sewer Rental Contract, and asking for a meeting
<br />
