25C <br /> The regular meeting of the Village Board was held at the Mesier <br /> Homestead on Aug. 1,1961 at 7:30 P.M. <br /> Thos~ present- Mayor McCloskey, Trustee- Reilly,~l~wm~x~, Van~oorhis <br /> Temp~e~z~~'~~i~l~d ~.P~a~ itty'~ch°fleld' <br /> The minutes of the last regular meeting were read~ and after a <br /> correction of the minutes bi the Mayor, on the motion of Trustee Temple <br /> and seconded by Trustee Van¥oorhis, the minutes were acceptedas <br /> corrected, and the motion was carried. <br /> A mottmu by Trustee Temple, seconded by Trustee VanVoorhis, <br /> to dispense with the regular order of business, was carried. <br /> <br /> Assessor Greco, told the Board of T~ustees, that he had <br /> investergated the Property owned by the Village on Cottham hill <br /> and said that he felt that it would not be suitable for a play- <br /> ground. He also said that he was looking for a map, that would show <br /> the right of way into the property. He then requested that the <br /> Village Board call a meeting in the very near future for revaluuation <br /> of taxes on the Village property. The Mayor then said that the Spec. <br /> meeting with the Dutchess Couty Water system for plan for the night <br /> of Aug.8,1961 at 7:30 P.M., and that he felt that this would be a <br /> good time to have a meeting with the assessor. He then called for a <br /> meetin~ with the assessor for about 8:30 on Aug. 8~1961 at the Garner <br /> Engine o. <br /> A motion by Trustee Temple, seconded by Trustee Reilly to return <br /> to the regular order of business was carried. <br /> Comm. <br /> <br /> The new Contract for lighting in the Village, from Central <br />Hudson Gas &Elec Co. was turned over to the Chairman of the light <br />committee, to study, and to report back to the B~rd at the next regular <br /> meeting. <br /> The Police Justice report for the Month of July ,1961 for the <br /> sum of $ 125.O0, on motion of Trustee Reilly, seconded by trustee <br /> Canals, was accepted as read. <br /> A letter from the Rector of the Zion Episcopal Church, <br /> on bad sidewalk condition, on Satterlee Place, was turned over to <br /> the Highwa[ Comm. <br /> Letter from the New York State Conference of Mayor's, <br /> on the School for Village Clerks and Fiscal Officers to be held <br /> Sept. 25.26,27, was tabled until the Sept. meeting. <br /> A letter from Central hudson Gas &Elec. Co. on the <br /> credit Balance for Street lighting, was ordered filed. <br /> <br /> Letter from Garner Eng. Co. for approval of two ne members <br /> Robert Levy~ Robert Dunkly, on motion of trustee Fitzpatrick, seconded <br /> by trustee Canale, to accept as new members (active). was carried. <br /> also in letter the Co askedypermission of the Village Board to have a <br /> sound truck go through the illage announcing the Donkey Baseball game <br /> theY were having on Aug. 28,1961. this was granted on motion of Trustee <br /> Vanvoorhis, seconded by Trustee Temple, and carried'V <br /> A letter from Mrs. Felix Timbo, of Mill St. illage, on <br /> ~Icking up some garbage and brush from in front of her house. <br /> nd her having trouble having t'ne Village highway Dept. pickin~ <br /> this up. After Mr John Berinato explaing the situation to the ~oard, <br /> The Mayor said that he would call Mrs. Timbo, and take care of this <br /> complaint. <br /> <br /> <br />
