The regular meetirg of the Village Board was held at the Mesler

<br /> Those present: Mayor McCloskey, Trustees, RetllY, VanVoorhis
<br />Silvestri, Temple, Canale, Treas. McdOnald.
<br /> Absent- Trustee Fitzpatrick, Atty. Schoffeld.

<br /> The minutes of the last regular meeting were read and on motion
<br />of Trustee Templet seconded by Trustee VanVoorhis, the minutes were
<br />accepted as corrected. Trustee Canale making the correction on the
<br />vote for payment for the "ater Board Convention expense 5 voting for,
<br />I voting against, I obstaining, carried.
<br /> Motion b y Trustee Canale, seconded by Trustee Silvestri
<br /> to dispense with the regular order of business was carried.
<br /> Mr. Roberts, speaking for the Park Commission, the park
<br /> commission had sent a letter to the board on , the rent, to be
<br /> charged to the water dept., and also on how they were to get funds
<br /> to fix the roof of the Mesier Homestead, n~edtng repair around the
<br /> domers, and the two flat roofs. After some discussion on this matter,
<br /> it was stated that the roof could be fixed with hot tar being mopped
<br /> onto them, ~ohn Bertnatorwas to take care of this if weather permitted.
<br /> Trustee Van oorhis, was to see about getting a loan of a tar pot.
<br /> The trustee then said that they would look into this matter , and that
<br /> the mayor would let the park dept. know their desission.
<br /> The fire Chief then approched the board, on the use of gas by
<br /> the ~illage fire trucks, he felt that there was to much gas be bought
<br /> 'for the amount of miles the trucks had traveled . he said that he was
<br /> making a check on t~is, and would report his finding back to the
<br /> board, he then spoke on a mutural aid system between all the towns
<br /> and Village in the area, to help at fires and to cover for them
<br /> when they were out of town at a fire. The board told t~',chlef
<br /> that before they would commit themselves on this matter, they
<br /> would have to meet with partys concerned, and also would have to
<br /> talk this over with the Village attorney for his
<br /> Motion by Trustee Canale, seconded by Trustee VanVoorhis , to
<br /> return to the regular order of business was carried.

<br /> Letter from Central Hudson on Street light service
<br /> for month of Nov, 1961, was ordered filed
<br /> Letter of thanks from Capt. ~. ~osta~ was ordered filed
<br /> Letter from Dr. Scafuri~ on ~tll of $52.00 for treating
<br /> Mrs DtMarttno- of 55 Mesler Ave. for
<br /> InjuriemS sustained iU
<br /> a f~!l on defective sfSewalk, was turned over to the Ins. ~o.
<br /> Police Justice report for the month of Nov. 1961 for the
<br />sum of $ 313.50 on motion of Trustee Reilly, seconded by Trustee
<br />Silvestri, was accepted as read and carried.
<br /> Letter from the Wapp. Chamber of Comm. asking to cover
<br />parking meters as they had in the past from Dec. 15 till after
<br />Christmas, on motion of Trustee Canale, seconded by Trustee
<br />Silvestrd, was carried.
<br /> Letter From Garner Eng. Co., on the election of
<br />Robert Temple Sr., to fill the vaccancy of custodian for the
<br />fire house until '~nual Election in~ ~oril, motion by Trustee
<br /> Silvestri, seconded by Trustee Van~o~rhis for the board to
<br />aporove, was carried.
