The Annual me~t~ng of the Board of Trustees was held at <br />~he M~s~er Homestead on Monday April 2,1962 at ?:~0 P.M. <br /> <br /> Those present- Mayor McC!oskey, Tru~t~e's~ Cbeetha~n, <br />VanVoorbis, Silv~stri~ Temple, FitZpatrick, Canale.. <br /> <br /> Meeting was called to order by Mayor McCloskey; who <br />announced the object of the meeting was for the purpose <br />of making the a~nual appointments and a~y other business <br />that may be on the Village docket for this meeting. <br /> <br /> Clerk Weit, announced that the officers elected at the <br />previous election have been duly sworn in and filed their <br />affidavit in compliance with section 59 of ~he Village <br />law <br /> Motion ~y TrusteeYanVoornis~ secon~ by Trustee <br />Temple, That the First National Bank of Poughkeepsie, <br />Wappingers Falls Branch, be adopted as depository of <br />Village funds, carried. <br /> <br />Fitzp h~ u eW ~ News, be adopted as the <br />official paper for Village notices, also that the Beacon <br /> News, or Poughkeepsie New Yorker~ may be used for offic- <br />ial notices ~ between printings of the Wappingers paper. <br />carried. <br /> Motion by Trustee Silvestri, seconded by Trustee <br />Canale, the VillaEe adopt day-light saving plan if the <br />county adopts the same~ carried <br /> <br /> Motion by Trustee Temple, seconded by Trustee <br />Silvestri, the compensation for inspectors of election <br />be the same as last year, and the election custodians <br />be paid $~0.00 . carried. <br /> <br /> Motion by Trustee Temple, seconded by Trustee <br /> Fitzpatrick~ that the working foreman, laborer be <br /> given a twenty-five cent raise ocr hour. the Temp. <br /> laborer to be paid $1.75 per hr. A new laborer to serve <br />for a 6 mos. prbationary period at the rate of $1.95 per <br />hour. ~ voted for motion~ three voted against, motion <br />was carried. <br /> Motion by Trustee Canale, seconded by Trustee <br />Cheetham that the Police Dept. be given a $150.00 raise <br />per year. Motion by Trustee Temple, seconded by Trustee <br />Fitzpatrick that the Police Dept. be given a ~00.00 raise <br />per year. After some discussion on this matter, the Mayor <br />called for a vote on the first motion~ four voted for the <br /> ~otion, no~e voting against. At this time Trustee Temple <br /> stated that he had voted wrong, and asked Trustee Canale <br /> and Che~tham to recind their motion. After some discuss <br /> Trustee Canale ,recinded his motion. The Mayor called fo~ <br /> a roll call vote on the second motion, Voting for- <br /> Tr~stee's VanVoorhis, Silvestri, Temple~ Fitzpatrick, <br /> Voting against~ Trustee's Che~tham~ Canale~ and Mayor <br /> McCloskey, W voting for ~ voting against, motion was <br /> carried. <br /> Motion by Trustee Cheetham, seconded by Trustee <br /> .Canale, that the Spec.
