The m~bers decided that the q~stion of heatl~ the Police <br /> station by gas ~ held at abeya~e for the time ~i~. <br /> <br /> Mayor T~le reported that John W. Hau~nne st el who was appointed 0hairman <br /> 0f the Veterans Memori~ a~ recreation committee ~shes to tendered his <br /> ,restg~tion aa o~air~n of the committee. ~yor Te~le requested ~. Jae. <br /> Eva~ ~o ~a present at the meeti~ and a mem~r of the oo~lttee If he <br /> <br />would consider taking over chairmanship. Mr. Evans replied that he was <br />unable to gi~e the time on account of other business but he w~uld serve on <br /> <br />the committee. Treasurer LeRo7 also a member of the committee spoke in <br />regaxds to the committee trying to a~range to purchase some land by the <br />lake to develops into a recreation Park but their seem to Be a lot of red <br />-,tape to go through on this particular piece of land. Mr. Evans suggested <br />why not get in touch with the committee from the Lions club to ascertain <br />if they w~uld be willing to go ahead with the plans. M~yor Temple aug- <br />gested he would call a conference for Friday night and have the members of <br /> <br />the Board with the Lions club committee to discuss deta~ils. <br /> <br /> The regblar order of business w~s again taken up as re.oorded~ <br /> <br />~91. Health Officer Dr. O'Brien report for the month o~ October w~s read <br />as roi'lO'ed. During the month of OctoBer there were the usual amount of <br />colds for this time of year. There were no outbreak of contagious disease <br />or intes.tinal trouble. Two cases of scarlet fever were reported to the <br />Health officer during the month both of these were of mild nature a~d no <br />particular complication followed. No nuisance oases were brought to the <br />the attention of the Health officer. Water sample was taken and sent to <br />Albany and the report w~s satisfactory as usual. Motion by Trustee Paggi <br />and seconded by Trustee Berinato the report be accepted as read. <br /> <br />~2392. Police Justice Begg report fo~ the month of October was read announ- <br />cing that the sum of $ 250.00 ool~.eoted in fines and bonds were sent to the <br />State Dept. as to comply with the new law.
