290 <br /> The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees w~s held at the Mesier Hem. <br />stead on Wednesday Evening, October 6th. I9~ a~ ?;~0 P.M. <br /> <br />Those Present; Trusts e Feeney, Sidots,Rlley, Goebel,Berinato,TerWilliger, <br />Ma~or Temple,Treas. LeRoy and Atty. Schofield. <br /> <br /> Meeting called to order. Roll call. The minutes of the previous regular <br />meeting were read. Upon motion by Trustee Riley and seconded by Trustee <br /> Berlzato the minutes eta~ adopted as read. <br /> <br /> aa~or Temple announced the regular order of business wix1 be dispensed <br />with in order to hear from those present who wishes to speak before the <br />members of the Board. <br /> <br /> Mr. Amodso representing Mr. Ma~cantono owner of land on Remsen Ave. appro-i <br />ached the members of the board and presented a map of a proposed develops- <br />ment on the e~st side of Ramses Ave. to ascertain if the village would be ~ <br />willing to extend the water and sewer mains into this particular section. <br /> <br />The members of the Board discussed the question of the developement of <br />which Mayor Temple suggested ~hat he would arrange to have the Village Att- <br />orney go over the land and he will advise th~ members of the Board on the <br /> <br />sa~e, <br /> <br />Mr. Baxter of the Xarpark Meter Company spoke before the members of the <br />board in regards to the installing of parking meters throughout certain <br />streets in the village. Mr. ~axter informed the members that tho meters <br />cost $ ?I.O0 each but they will pay for themselves from tho revenue <br />ooived from thom. The meters will bo installed and if the Board is not <br />8atified with the 8a~e the company will remove them. It wa8 suggested <br />that the board be given more time before oonoideriug the installation of <br />the meters. <br /> <br /> The regular order of business was again taken up as reoorded~ <br /> <br /> ~27'* Police Justice Bogs_report for the month of September was read <br />announcing that the sum of $ I~0.00 Collected in fines and bonds were sent <br />to the State Dept. a8 to comply with the law. Motion by Trustee Riley <br />seconded by Trustee Berinato the report be accepted aa read. <br /> <br /> ~'25~$* A °ommu~l°atiOn was read from the W.T.Ga~ner Eug. O0.~! requestiug <br />a five yeaxs exemption certificate for Ronald Black,Sr. also announcing <br />that Robert E. Reyer was elecked to active membership, Motion by Trustee <br />Berin~to and seconded by Trustee Ooebel the certificate be granted ~ud the <br />member be confirmed. <br /> <br />~:~:J* Dr, O'Brien Health officer submitted the following report for the <br />mo~ of September, In the month of ~September there were no outbreak of <br />contagious disease a few oases of intssti~l disorder were seen but they <br />were ~f mild nature. One case of septic core throat w~s reported but later <br />on examination it was found that no streptooous germ were found and there- <br />fore not really septic sore throat. Water s,mple were collected but the re+ <br />port were not as eatisfa~tory as usual during the latter part of the month <br /> <br />chlorine was added to the water and the condition was remedied. Mi~or <br />complaints received as owner turning off water in part of a house and the <br />tenets on lower f~oor were without water, the condition wan atte~ to <br />and corrected. ~o oases of contagious disease were reported during the <br />month. With the.continued dry spell I think it is remarkable that w~ did <br />not have more cases of dlarrhoeal disease.
