MINUTES OF ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING HELD 6/6/06 <br /> <br />Present: Lloyd Frink, Chairman, Frank Barresi, Vice Chairman, Scott Davis, Allen <br />Fimtenberg, Floyd Hood, George Dansemau and MarT Ann Loncto, Secretary <br /> <br />Others Present: <br /> Ray Ward <br /> David Anfiteatro <br /> Msgr. Sebastian <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />ST. MARY'S CHURCH~ CONVENT AVENUE <br />First on the agenda was the public hearing on the request of St. Mary's Church, 2 <br />Convent Avenue seeking a Special Use Permit to be able to operate a Thrift Shop out of <br />the former convent building which is in a R7.5 zone. Ms. Christine Hickey (a parent of <br />children in the school and involved in fundraising ) and Ms. LaRose (principal of St. <br />Mary's) were present. Mr. Frink asked Ms. Hickey if she had an affidavit from the <br />Church stating she was authorized to represent the Church this evening and Ms. Hickey <br />stated she did not. Mr. Frink stated this was necessary to be able to continue the hearing. <br />Ms. Eileen Sassmann stated she is a parishioner at St. Mary's, a resident of Clinton Street <br />and the Secretary of the Parish Counsel of St. Mary's. At the last Parish Counsel meeting <br />this was discussed and Msgr. Bellew was in favor of it. She offered to go home - get her <br />notes of the Parish Counsel meeting and also attempt to get the signature of Msgr. Bellew <br />to be able to continue the hearing. Mr. Danserean stated he does not agree with Mr. <br />Frink. He stated that having the principal of the Parish school present and Ms. Sassmann <br />stating she was at the last Parish Counsel meeting where it was discussed was sufficient <br />for him. Mr. Frink stated it is his personal belief that the affidavit of ownership is <br />required by law to be able to conduct the public hearing. Therefore Mr. Frink made a <br />motion stating that the hearing will be adjourned until such time that either someone with <br />authority comes back in person or someone brings in an affidavit of ownership. Mr. <br />Davis seconded the motion. Unanimously carried. <br /> <br />FRANK NOVICK - 28 MARKET STREET <br />Next on the agenda was the closed public hearing on the request of Frank Novick - c/o <br />Richard Barger seeking a variance from off street parking to be able to construct a <br />building with 6 apartments on second floor and retail/office on first floor - total parking <br />required is 41 spaces and applicant can provide 16 off street parking spaces - additional <br />spaces can be provided with street parking. Mr. Frink made a motion to confer with <br />Council in Executive Session regarding this case, seconded by Mr. Firstenberg. On roll <br />call vote - Mr. Frink- Aye, Mr. Davis - Aye, Mr. Firstenberg - Aye, Mr. Barresi - Aye <br />and Mr. Dansereau - Aye <br /> <br /> <br />
